Yes, totally! Not looks wise though

flummoxedlummox · 04/10/2020 17:27

I drive myself up the wall, I don't need a third person doing it as well. Grin

SugarMiceInTheRain · 04/10/2020 17:29

Hmmm... I'd like someone with my sense of fun and adventure, with a similar libido to me. DH and I don't really have any interests in common, so having shared hobbies with a partner would be good. But I get stressed easily whereas DH is so laid back, he calms me down when I'm stressed about things and is a steadying, calm influence in my life and that's more important. I'd probably be a mess emotionally and mentally if I was with someone as hyper as me.

Hobnobsandbroomstick · 04/10/2020 17:29

No, me and my boyfriend are polar opposites in a lot of ways.

BraveGoldie · 04/10/2020 17:38

I think I am good for someone else - kind, decent, honest, and make some effort physically.

But I love the contrast in a relationship- my DP brings the fun to compliment my reliability. We bring different cultural and racial heritages that enrich us. He is a manly man, which turns me on (all he has to do is pick up a hammer and I am ready to jump him!). He handles all the technology stuff I am rubbish at etc etc.....

Dating me would be boring - all my strengths would be redundant, cos I have them already... and the double weaknesses would be a killer! 🤣

Mummadeeze · 04/10/2020 17:41

I think I would make the perfect match for myself!

Spied · 04/10/2020 17:43

No.
I'm a neurotic perfectionist.
No thanks.

ErickBroch · 04/10/2020 18:09

My DP and I are extremely similar which is why we work so well!

D4rwin · 04/10/2020 18:10

Oh god. No one would

KarenCaron · 04/10/2020 18:12

Yes I would, and do. It works very well.

Bunnymumy · 04/10/2020 18:15

Ooh tough one. I'd almost say yes, because I'd appreciate my own need for space, we'd have a lot in common and I'd know they were a good person.

But that being said...I realistically need someone who isnt as work shy as i am xD someone a bit more grounded. Probably someone ambitious so that they can encourage ambition in me too.

So I guess not. But I know I'd be perfect for someone.

lockdownalli · 04/10/2020 18:17

Christ no. I am very emotionally detached.

Mammylamb · 04/10/2020 18:30

Oh Gosh. No. No way. I am a nightmare.

DH and I have very similar Myers Briggs results with the exception of him being an introvert and me being an extrovert

kennelmaid · 04/10/2020 18:51

No way. My snoring rattles the windows and wakes up everyone but me.

ShinyMe · 04/10/2020 18:57

Yes of course, I'm great!

But I'm so independent we'd probably only actually meet twice a year.

Whammyyammy · 04/10/2020 19:08

Hell no

Ewanispurple · 04/10/2020 19:11

Absolutely and I wish I had! DH is my total opposite and it is not going well! Wish I had listened to my heart and not my Head Confused

SquashedSpring · 04/10/2020 19:12

No, it would be dreadful.

VeryQuaintIrene · 04/10/2020 19:14

Yes, and we'd be laughing and telling stories all the time but our house might be a public health hazard.

planningaheadtoday · 04/10/2020 19:15

I married him. He is my mirror. And when I'm second guessing myself he says 'what would I think, it's the same as you'. He's right.

Love51 · 04/10/2020 19:22

I think I married man me.
We could do with being less highly strung but are hilarious and sexy.

Junkmail · 04/10/2020 19:22

God no. I’m such a hot head and I can’t be still. I would drive myself insane. My husband is my polar opposite which is exactly why we’re so good together. “Dating myself” would be a nightmare 😂 (my poor husband)

kyssedbyfyre · 04/10/2020 22:16

hell no!

StepAwayFromGoogle · 04/10/2020 22:21

Good lord, no, I'm really irritating.

eatsleepread · 04/10/2020 22:23

Nope. I'm too laidback, and my male equivalent would get on my nerves. I'd need a potential partner to be more driven.
I'd like him to possess my attributes of kindness, loyalty, etc.
