They are available - I quite fancy one

I wouldn't buy a mask, because I sew and have ten million tons of fabric, but I'll probably make some.

Lockheart · 03/10/2020 17:46

This is not an AIBU.

Buy whatever makes you happy.

yeOldeTrout · 03/10/2020 17:47

I bought one but it is 50:50, half a xmas pattern & half another pattern.

I didn't realise that when I bought it. I'm sure it was made that way by mistake. Am slightly X about it (with myself, I should have looked at it more closely).

We have a zillion face covers now, far beyond our needs. So no more purchases for me.

Poppingpenguins · 03/10/2020 18:04

I’ll probably get some. Anything to raise a smile!

LimaFoxtrotCharlie · 03/10/2020 18:07

There is a Christmas topic in which to discuss such things

girlicorne · 03/10/2020 18:12

Yesss thank you OP I have just ordered 😀😃

Stompythedinosaur · 03/10/2020 18:17

Nope, much as I love Christmas i will be sticking with surgical masks as they are more effective.

PicsInRed · 03/10/2020 18:19

Christmas jumpers were bad enough, this is next level 😂😂

Winterfellismyhome · 03/10/2020 18:22

This prompted me to buy some Christmas fabric :)

Belle1983 · 03/10/2020 18:26

A friend has already bought hers with cute polar bears on.
I'm very tempted. Just wish I could wear them at work (have to use the surgical ones not fabric)

spottybitch · 03/10/2020 18:29

No it's tacky.

REDLIPSTICKANDNAILS · 03/10/2020 18:30

No.

Quaagars · 03/10/2020 18:33

Never really thought about it, but yes I definitely want some Christmas ones now! Grin

sapnupuas · 03/10/2020 18:41

I have!

Will probably buy more.

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 03/10/2020 18:58

I've bought some lovely Christmas fabric and I'll be making masks for my family.

Artykitty666 · 03/10/2020 19:01

No. But I'll definitely make one. Im an infant teacher and as the parents often want to chat at the end of the day we've been asked to mask up. I make funny ones with animals and silly things to make my wee ones laugh. Parents probably think I'm a twat...

whirlwindwallaby · 03/10/2020 19:04

I have fabric for gift bags, might use up the remnants and make one now.

Pearsapiece · 03/10/2020 19:06

@artykitty666 for what it's worth, I'd be impressed at your efforts for the kids and it would bring a smile to my face!
Yes I will definitely be buying an Xmas one!

littledrummergirl · 03/10/2020 19:07

No. Dh bought a mask a few weeks ago, it was only single layer so about as much use as a chocolate teapot. They seem to have become a fashion accessory rather than the protective item that they are supposed to be.
I've recently seen a woollen one advertised.
For me it's more important that they work rather than what they look like.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 03/10/2020 19:11

I'm looking for a couple.

Don't know whether to go The Grinch's smile or just one with lots of Father Christmas or trees scattered over it???

Who'd have thought this time last year I'd be considering such a festive purchase

aToadOnTheWhole · 03/10/2020 19:16

Brilliant idea! Yes, I will be buying some 🎅

AdoptAdaptImprove · 03/10/2020 19:17

I’ve bought some Christmas fat quarters to make some of my 3-layer cotton masks with.

LittleMissLockdown · 03/10/2020 19:19

Oh god this is going to be the new secret santa go to gift for Christmas isn't it.

AuntieMarys · 03/10/2020 19:23

No.
But then I hate Xmas jumpers
