MP apologises for attending parliament with coronavirus symptoms

This has made me so angry. How can she expect people to follow the rules now? She should be setting an example.
Imagine how many people she has potentially infected.

I was so angry to read this. What a stupid stupid woman. There is no excuse for what she did. No wonder we are struggling to get people to follow the rules.

LouiseTrees · 01/10/2020 18:51

I’m so angry because now her constituency will go to shit. I swear if I catch this now because of this idiot. I’m super careful but I still need to food shop.

If she had any integrity she would resign as an MP. There is no s excuse for what she did.

ChaChaCha2012 · 01/10/2020 18:54

She's messed up. She's apologised and referred herself to the police and the HoC.

The bigger issue here is that MPs are being forced to attend the Commons, when they could work and vote from home.

Chaotic45 · 01/10/2020 18:54

I cannot fathom why she would do this, especially after getting a test. Unbelievable. She needs to resign and face the same consequences as a 'regular' person.

She literally knowingly spread the virus. WTAF?

BloggersBlog · 01/10/2020 18:55

Wow, what is the matter with people?! Boris doesnt properly follow the rules, gets covid.
Cummings doesnt follow the rules
Scotland's chief MO doesnt follow the rules
Jeremy Corbyn doesnt follow the rules
Even Boris's dad doesnt follow them

Yet it is the young students who are getting lambasted for partying - what do the older generation expect from younger ones when their 'leaders' arent doing it right Hmm

KetoPenguin · 01/10/2020 18:57

At the very least this shows poor judgement which is not a quality you would want in your MP.

Crimples · 01/10/2020 18:59

Agree.
Completely undermines the message to the public and could be dangerously damaging to compliance.
Criminal and should be treated as such

Justanotherlurker · 01/10/2020 19:03

No suprise she was all over twitter regarding cummings, what Cummings didn't do though was use public transport for 8 hours.

It will be interesting to see how the scotnats play this one as the evil tories though. This is on her to show integrity.
