Urgent HELP please.

We had a new boiler installed last week. For the last couple of days when ever we run the hot water, open the boiler door - we can smell gas. This can't be normal can it? Its a brand new boiler.

No. Call your energy provider's 'I smell gas' line ASAP.

Your gas supplier should have an emergency number. Call them now.

Call someone to come and check for a gas leak, better to be safe

If it is very fleeting and temporary it can be as it sparks up - we have this down our alley way where the boiler flue is. The chemical smell they add to gas escapes slightly before it has worked up and burnt off.

If it is for more than a fleeting moment it needs investigating
