Earlier today we picked up a Click and Collect order from Sainsburys. There was no shelter and we had to pack bags quickly in a downpour. Sainsbury's don't bag up, you have to decant from plastic trays into your own bag and everything was wet.
We'd ordered two of a particular item that comes in a distinctive cardboard sleeve. We could see that we had one of them but we couldn't find the other, so the assistant went back into the shop and got us a second one.
We got home, unpacked and found that we had had the second item all along, it just didn't have a cardboard sleeve and so looked different. We owe Sainsburys £2.50.
I've phoned the store four times to try and pay. There's an automated phone system and when I get through to the orders line as soon as I mention the words Click and Collect or Order or Mistake I just get an irrelevant automated message. I've tried to use their online Help Centre and it's frozen.
I'll try again later but I'd like Mumsnet to advise how many times I am morally obliged to try/ how much time I ought to be expected to waste, before I can just shrug and forget about it?
