How to work with a right knob

So technically he's not my boss but he is in charge of the site I work at.

He is generally inconsiderate, arrogant and dismissive of me and my colleagues and our expertise and roles.

He is well regarded by the business as he is direct, good at making decisions, gets results etc etc.

I've had a few days where I've been pissed off with him and the situation, wanting to be petty and passive aggressive but I need to move on and find a way to work with this person.

Any tips on how I can do this? How can I get him on my team's side and to respect us?

Thanks in advance for any help!

It's probably going to be a case of waiting for a good opportunity to prove your worth and then acting on it.

I've had the pleasure of working with such a person for a few years and it wasn't until we help him get himself out of a situation that his bullshit got him into that he started respecting me and my team.

However, I'd also not put up with shitty behaviour in the interim. If he is unprofessional then you need to deal with that straight away.
