To leave work and not go back until this is sorted (backache)

Currently pregnant and have been having really bad back ache and sciatica for a couple of weeks now.

I've just had enough today, I can't sit for any length of time, I have to keep getting up and walking around the office just to stop myself from crying. It's intolerable.

Nothing I am trying is working, my midwife has referred me for physio and I'm waiting for that. I don't feel any relief unless I'm walking around. I have a pregnancy pillow that is helping a little at night but I'm still losing sleep because of it.

I work in an office and being at my desk in a chair all day is just too much now. I honestly feel like I'm going to stay home until I've seen the physio and this is sorted. I'm in tears every night by the end of the day to DH because it's so sore. I'm spending most of my weekend walking around the block with the dog just for relief.

Do you when physio appointment is? Could you afford to book a private appointment?

Is there occupational health at your office? You need to speak to your manager, it sounds like you need adjustments in order to be able to work, or may have to go off sick? I hope you feel better soon xx

Not yet unfortunately, she only referred me on Thursday.

I've tried to book a local private one who does pregnancy specific physio but the lady who does the pg stuff is shielding so can't see me.

My sis has been having private physio for Sciatica for a few months now going every week, and i'm sorry to say she is still in agony.

I suffer from it aswell and in my experience its a pain that comes for a few days and goes when it feels like it.

I'm hoping that yours goes soon
