AIBU to not fancy my husband in his golf gear? (Which he wears a lot)

This is a lighthearted one, I’m pretty sure I AM being unreasonable 😂 but I cannot help it! I totally fancy my husband, he is so hot! He is also VERY good at golf, he didn’t play much when we got together or when the children were small but now they are older/busy at weekends he’s joined a golf club and I am NOT loving the golf clothes! I have got round this by just dragging him upstairs and into bed as soon as he is back from his round of golf and he takes them off pretty quickly then I throw them in the wash, but worryingly his day to day clothing has started to resemble his golf wear! Help do I just get over myself or do I tell him that golf wear reminds me of over promoted middle managers who I had to suffer for years on my way up the corporate ladder and gives me ptsd 😂 and he needs to reduce his wearing of it?

Maybe he thinks you're doing that because you fancy him in his golfing gear!

It actually just dawned on me as I was writing this! Maybe he thinks I’m ripping his minging golf clothes off cause I find them so hot 🤮

I find golf gear - and indeed everything to do with golf - to be a massive turn off.

In fact I think I would struggle to be attracted to anyone who played it.

Better golf gear than the awful cycling Lycra which looks good on absolutely no one, ever

Yes it’s positive reinforcement. He wears the golf clothes: he gets dragged up to bed... funnily enough he therefore wears gold clothes more 🙈

Yanbu. I would actually prefer my DH in full-on Bertie Wooster golf gear - plus fours, tank top, jaunty hat - than the polyester nastiness that's apparently necessary to walk around a golf course.

My DH has got back into fishing and his made gave him a sludge green fleece hoody which I hate and actually made him take off the other day when he was just at home.

And yet and yet... he went off fishing this morning wearing that and a paisley biker snood-cum-face covering thing round his neck. It had an ageing rock star vibe which I found strangely alluring...

My DH has got back into fishing and his made gave him a sludge green fleece hoody which I hate and actually made him take off the other day when he was just at home.

And yet and yet... he went off fishing this morning wearing that and a paisley biker snood-cum-face covering thing round his neck. It had an ageing rock star vibe which I found strangely alluring...

This made me laugh really loudly whilst in the queue at Starbucks

I was watching "Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing" and was rather surprised I found Paul Whitehouse's outfits, (compounded by his great calm competence) quite attractive!

My DH has a pair of golf trousers which are so hideous they make me want to file for divorce there and then, such is the awfulness.

I know ehat you kean about the calm confidence. Notwithstanding this morning's success, DH is neither calm nor competent.

As I wandered down the river bank carrying a hot flask, various sandwiches, KitKats, etc, I passed a homeless man, hunched up in a bundle of random clothes and a terrible hat, and thought, Poor bloke, maybe I should offer him some of DH's lunch.

It was, of course, DH.

How about really sexy, attractive Scout Leader uniform. I can’t look at him when he goes scouting/camping/hiking etc etc 😩. Apart from that he’s gorgeous. However I can’t get over the fact that twenty years ago I met a rugby player and he morphed into a scout!

You do realise you have now 100% identified yourself as golf is an extremely ‘outing’ hobby?! 🤦🏻‍♀️
