My niece has put a video online of her two year old online naked playing
Her friend who is a porn star has shared this video on her social media page instagram
Can I speak to the police ( they have both taken down now)

What would you be reporting to the police? Is the video itself inappropriate / abusive?

If they've been taken down I'm not sure what good talking to the police would do? x

I'd contact local social services if anything to raise your concerns. I assume what you want is your niece to be given parenting support rather than arrested

The internet can be a cruel place and pictures do not just disappear. It was probably a foolish mistake, but.....
If this was on a social media face it has been made public. Without a doubt I would have a chat with the police, they will not use your name and this is a child safety issue.
The most important person here is the child so please do the right thing, you will never rest easy otherwise.

Tbh I’m not sure there is even anything to report to social services? Assuming the video itself is not sinister. I would not put a video of a naked child online myself, but lots of parents do without repercussions. Being friends with a porn star is also not a social services issue, and presumably the fact that the videos have now been taken down indicate that the niece wasn’t happy with it being shared by other people?
