Has anybody else heard of / seen ElleIp the documentary on youtube? I stumbled across it and I am amazed at her strength of character, weight loss and results. If you haven't seen it she entered a bikini body competition after her second baby ( here's the link . She is just amazing and a wonderful mother😍

The Magic Pill is hugely inspiring too. It got so many people up to date on the fallacy of low fat diets and showed the power of low carb.

ImaSababa · 26/09/2020 20:31

From the thumbnail, I think she looks better before Confused

Yes, I think so too.
LaMarschallin · 26/09/2020 20:37

I do t especially line the creosote covered look but it’s an amazing transformation and she has done amazingly.

Glitteryone · 26/09/2020 20:42

Lovely person yes but there are definitely (for me anyway) much more inspiring weight loss stories out there.

Fair enough. And I haven't watched the documentary and have no reason to think she isn't a wonderful person.
That's just not a body I'd aspire to have.

Humbersider · 26/09/2020 20:44

Whoa. If that's what 'success' looks like, pass me the hobnobs.

Soulstirring · 26/09/2020 21:09

Her achievement is immense.

stopgap · 26/09/2020 21:14

It does take incredible discipline to get to that level, but I really don’t like the whole figure/bodybuilding scene, as it encourages disordered eating and steroid/HGH use.

Mariola321 · 26/09/2020 21:14

Too much tan and oil in second photo, but she will look much better with clothes on than first pic.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 26/09/2020 21:18

I don't think it's all that inspiring. Most overweight women are looking at far more manageable goals (ie. not to be dangerously overweight any more). They mostly don't want to then go on to another extreme.

FuckinGoddess · 26/09/2020 21:29

She looks incredible 😍

ulanbatorismynextstop · 26/09/2020 21:31

What an inspiration, she's done incredibly well. Can't believe some of the negativity on this post, she achieved she dreams fit Christ sake, can we stop nit picking just because she's over faked tanned as is usual for these competitions?

Mariola321 · 26/09/2020 21:31

It is definitely the oil and tensing the muscles in the thumbnail. If you skip to 50:20 her body just looks slim. I would post screenshot but can’t work out how.

Mariola321 · 26/09/2020 21:33

My old gym did 3 month boot camp for women. It was amazing, some women went from very big to normal.

Viviennemary · 26/09/2020 21:35

She looks years older. Awful.

megletthesecond · 26/09/2020 21:44

The bodybuilding thing isn't healthy though. One of my fitness instructors did it, they crash diet before the event.
Her weight loss is good but I wonder whether she's improved her cardio fitness too.

Craddle64 · 26/09/2020 21:46

Im not inspired by her. She just continued the stereotypes. Id be more inspired if she wasnt wearing a bikini. So sick of so much unnecessary nudity everywhere.

Ponoka7 · 26/09/2020 21:56

My DD did similar after getting out of a DV relationship. You don't need to have disordered eating or use drugs to look like that, you just need to train in the right way. Most weightlifters today will throw in a Marial Art or at least skipping for cardio, speed and balance.

She doesn't just look thin, you can see the muscle tone in her back and thighs etc.

As for looking older, unfortunately that's what can happen if you deflate a balloon, wrinkles appear. But it is possibly the tan showing up the lines.

The best exercise women can do is weights, but there's still negativity towards them.

Ponoka7 · 26/09/2020 21:58

@Craddle64, it's to show off the body, the men wear g strings. You can't really show off muscle tone and be covered up.

SockQueen · 26/09/2020 22:18

Has she been dipped in Ronseal?

PolarBearStrength · 27/09/2020 07:39

I used to be really into bodybuilding/bikini fitness. It’s a toxic industry. Orthorexia and very restrictive lifestyles are rife. Whatever floats your boat but it isn’t a healthy, sustainable life.

I now take part in endurance events, dabble in triathlon, lift some weights when I feel like it, and have some body fat.my mental health is much better.

RednaxelasLunch · 27/09/2020 07:49

God almighty. This is the opposite of inspiring.
