Keep your nose out of other people’s business

Why do some people find it impossible to keep their noses out of other people’s business? Why is it so difficult to just mind their own rather than curtain twitching all the fucking time & pitching in where they’re not needed or wanted?

There are so many threads on here about informing on neighbours, grassing up people who are breaking Covid rules or telling the DP their OH is having an affair - most usually in the context of people they barely know & whose lives they’ve decided would be significantly improved with a little bit of nosy input & involvement.

So what if your neighbour has a gathering going on with 8 people rather than 6, so what if the couple across the road shag in the garden, or the woman in the shop didn’t wear a mask. Should you call 999?

No........because it’s none of your business so stay out. It’s so evident that the current crisis has brought out the informers too.......so people seriously think grassing their neighbours up to the authorities is the absolute best use of their time?

FFS people need to mind their own business & stop being so nosy & interfering

Except that when your neighbours don't follow Covid guidelines for example they increase the probability of a local lockdown!
HTH 🤦‍♀️
