Bear with me it might start confusing... a friend of mine has a girlfriend who has been staying with him the last few nights. Today the girlfriend's mum has tested positive. There is 2 adults and 3 children who live in the house of my friend. They think that the girlfriend needs to stay with them so away from her mum who is isolating. I can see this makes sense in a way but then on the other hand isn't it putting the family more at risk? Girlfriend has seen her mum twice this week. Not really sure what to advise them for the best! The damage might already be done.

The girlfriend has to isolate wherever she stays and then get tested if she shows symptoms. Other people in the BFs house don’t need to. I don’t know how long she would have to isolate for though, as it’s been a few days since she saw her mum.
