I had an interview on Wednesday for what was advertised as a weekend job. I was offered the job and accepted but during the interview the manager asked whether I would be able to do any other days on top. I said possibly Wednesdays but I'd need to confirm (childcare / disabled DC)
Later in the day after the interview I received an email saying we are glad to offer you the job working Saturday Sundays and Wednesdays. The manager signed off the email by saying she would send my agreement tomorrow (which would have been Thursday)
After making enquiries wrt childcare it became apparent Wednesdays wasn't possible so I responded to the email explaining I couldn't do every Wednesday but could do every other Wednesday so to let me know if that was ok or if there were any problems.
Well I didn't receive a response nor did she send an agreement on Thursday as planned.
I've sent a follow up email this morning requesting that they let me know whether the job offer remains but until I hear back I haven't a clue what's going on with it and am feeling a bit flustered as I need to make arrangements for the children.
Does it sound like the offer has been withdrawn? I'm in limbo at the moment not knowing what's going on.
