It’s Friday and I’ve woke up from a piss poor sleep courtesy of dog sitting barky chihuahua! I have a 12 hour shift in store for me today but I’m in a bloody good mood! So indulge me. What 5 things are you looking forward to today? I am looking forward to.

  1. My bacon and sausage sandwich for breakfast!
  2. My 5k run to work!
  3. There’s a new episode of my favourite podcast out.
  4. Being able to have the time to catch up on my tv programmes tonight as I’ve not had chance to even switch it on this week!
  5. Have a very very large GIN!

I’ve woken up with a cold and it’s my day off, so I plan a duvet day, listening to the rain hitting the windows, reading and watching Netflix in bed.

Marvellous.

QuentinWinters · 25/09/2020 09:13

Nice lunch
Not having to do school run (DS seems ok now but was up in the night with headache and earache so kept him off)
Fizz later

Camomila · 25/09/2020 09:25

redlockscelt · 25/09/2020 09:25

It's Friday
Going to the beach after work for a walk with one of my favourite people
Not cooking dinner
A late night with aforementioned person
Reading a good book

Meruem · 25/09/2020 09:27
  1. Cosying up in my armchair with the cat this afternoon and reading.
  2. Getting my amazon delivery.
  3. Clean sheets on the bed for later.
  4. Steak dinner with a couple of glasses of wine.
  5. Watching a couple more episodes of “the barrier” on Netflix. Very timely show about people living with a killer virus! There’s some scary shades of things happening to us now so maybe not a show for conspiracy theorists or those of a nervous disposition!
AmelieTaylor · 25/09/2020 09:29

Lovely thread

1 I always wake up early (5-5:30) even at the weekend, but I LOVE not being reminded by the phone alarms that I need to be up/showered/dressed& OUT! So looking forward to not checking they're set!

  1. Early pick up from school tonight (day pupils at mostly Boarding School, but it's Exeat weekend! YAY) so will be home by 5:30
  1. The Coffee AFTER the Tesco delivery is here, washed (yep) and away.
  1. The house being sparkling clean for the weekend (ignoring the fact that I'm the one that will be doing it!!)

5 collapsing tonight, watching some mindless TV (master chef type stuff), with a glass of wine & then climbing into my bed! (Fresh line dried sheets!!)

...but need to get on with making 4 happen!!

IdblowJonSnow · 25/09/2020 09:29

Lazy day as trying to ward off migraine.
Meeting a friend later.
Going for a walk.
House to myself til school ends.
Nice dinner this eve.

Not trying to wake kids up for school
Not trying to get kids to move faster than a disabled snail
Not fighting to get kids to remember stuff they need that they will forget anyway
Not fighting to get kids out the bloody door on time
Having my first cup of coffee

It’s all over now. Rest of the day will be fucking unbearable!!

Lackadaisically · 25/09/2020 09:33
  1. My husband can come with me to my growth scan. I'm 32wks and have been scanned 3 times so far and this is the first time he will be able to come!
  2. Dinner with my parents, an unusual event at the moment!
  3. Picking up a new toy for DS, it's too young for him really but I know he'll love it. (And next baby will get loads of use out of it anyway)
  4. Might pop into ASDA and look at baby things.
  5. Just about to start cooking a huge beef stew which will smell lovely all day.
ScribblyGum · 25/09/2020 09:35

Learning some new stuff at the British Geriatrics Society International conference on falls and postural stability.

Attending my first conference in jogging bottoms and slippers.

Attending my first conference on my sofa.

Attending my first conference while simultaneously drinking tea made just how I like it.

Attending my first conference where I can get up and wander off for a wee whenever I want to.

Exciting stuff!

Lackadaisically · 25/09/2020 09:35

That felt really positive, thank you. Maybe that's something I should try to do everyday!
