If you could only chose one for the rest of your lives which would it be? Pasta for me all day long 😋

Potatoes for sure. Most versatile.
I don't like rice much & pasta is boring.

FTMF30 · 25/09/2020 19:19

Potatoes. No contest!

The versality which people have mentioned makes it a clear winner.

motherofdxughters · 25/09/2020 19:23

Potatoes. I love pasta but potatoes are my first love.

Frappuccinofan · 25/09/2020 19:24

@TheKeatingFive

Yes, yes it is Grin

Bet no one ever forced Annalise to make this choice.

They’d regret it.

😂 they certainly would!
whirlwindwallaby · 25/09/2020 19:28

Rice. I never buy potatoes and only cook pasta because DS likes it.

blagaaw99 · 25/09/2020 19:33

Rice at moment as during lockdown we had a lot of potatoes and breadGrin

I have no idea what you mean

Florawest · 25/09/2020 19:47

Oh without any competition, the winner is potatoes.

Would love a baked spud now with lashings of real butter and grated cheese.

Love boiled, roast, baked, fried, potato salad, shepherd's pie, chips, wedges, crisps.

Next best is great yummy.

MitziK · 25/09/2020 19:52

Potatoes, without a doubt. More nutrition, more variability (after all, you can make them into bread and gnocci as well as chips, mash, boiled, fried, steamed, soups, baked...), cheap and tasty just by themselves.

And if you're skint and have a handy pot or garden, you can grow more of them for next year. No pasta trees or paddy fields round my neck of t'woods.

Next best is bread ( not great 😂 where ever that appeared from oops)

Potatoes. I just love them. There is nothing that can't be improved with the addition of a spud. My eldest DS is not keen on potatoes, not even chips. If he didn't look so much like me I would think I'd brought the wrong child home from the hospitalGrin

Midwife1997 · 25/09/2020 20:12

Ebly. Every time.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/09/2020 20:14

Rice. I love rice.

ZarasHouse · 25/09/2020 20:15

Potatoes 🥔

justjuggling · 25/09/2020 22:15

Potatoes
Pasta
Rice

Kolsch · 25/09/2020 22:41

Potatoes. I'm not bothered how they're cooked, I love them.
Mmm, left over reheated mash smothered in cheese sauce. Lovely.
I hate pasta and rice I only have with Indian or Chinese dishes.

KeepingPlain · 25/09/2020 22:55

Potatoes. Eating them more recently and haven't had pasta in ages.

sashh · 26/09/2020 06:44

Potatoes. A life without roasties, mash, chips, crisps, potato salad, jacket potatoes and potato vodka? WHAT KIND OF LIFE WOULD THAT BE?!

The middle ages.

Henry VIII never ate a potato. They were not known in England (sorry Scotland I don't know when they were introduced to you).

Always potatoes!!
Irish parents...grin

See it’s easy for you, but when your dad is Irish and your mum Italian it’s a real dilemma! My head says potato but my belly heart says pasta when I think of my mama’s home made lasagna. 😭

Interesting and obviously with no rice or pasta either could explain him being hangry enough to kill his poor wives.

Pasta, then rice, then potatoes (I like potatoes but they give me stomach ache).

CeibaTree · 26/09/2020 08:40

Potatoes without a doubt. I eat low carb these days and potatoes are the only thing that I miss!
