MLM in full force

I feel since covid MLM has ramped up even more so alongside home" businesses "

Lots of people now operating catering services from home ie brownies , afternoon tea etc but no appropriate qualifications held or registered business.

Also lots of people now claiming to be a stylist and charging £££ to pick some outfits out for you

Pick n mix sweets £10 for a box of sweets that someone has opened up bags from a bargain store and placed in an box.

I appreciate that we all need to be more inventive and imaginative with job cuts however I feel a lot of us are just getting ripped off for pure crap.

I’m always surprised people are still using Facebook. Hasn’t it been full of crap posts and people trying to sell rubbish for years.

A lot of my friends have been muted due to the MLM stuff. I have one friend who actually quit her job to persue the MLM, it didn't work out as orders dried up and she quickly ended up struggling to make ends meet. she's in a lot of debt now. I still don't understand how people can fall for something so clearly set to fail.

Lyricallie · 24/09/2020 23:04

Totally understand what you're talking about. Both MLMs and these businesses are all over my social media. I feel really bad a girl I used to be friendly with keeps adding me to her body shop page and I keep declining. There was another one who was the girl friend of a friend I used to volunteer with in a different country and she kept trying to add me to one. Can't even remember which one. That acquaintance got straight up removed from my SM after the third attempt.

I feel bad as well because I live in a tiny town of about 6k people with the closest city 2 hours drive and there are like 3 perfume ones, sooo many tropic skincare and I'm like who are you selling this crap to?!

*I have someone on my Facebook who advertised herself for the following services :

  • cleaning
  • one to one personal training
  • group workouts in her garden
  • entertainment - so will sing for you ( socially distancing )
-body shop
  • childminding
  • hair cutting*

Are you Facebook friends with Miss Rabbit? If so, I’m jealous.

One woman is selling Usborne Books and keeps trying to recruit me

Ah, this answers why I've suddenly seen this appear on my SM today.

locketpol · 24/09/2020 23:34

@Pet8 yes and lots more sweaty Momma fitness type classes . Generally women with no background in health & fitness but claiming it's family friendly hours appealed to them. Followed by inspirational daily quotes and a body that never works out except for the fitness classes with other sweaty mommas.

@TheClawww

I personally will only buy genuine perfume shakes
😆 This made me LOL

Completely understand what you mean. No need for people to try and get pedantic about your explanation of it.
I love body shop but now everyone seems to be a rep. I get constant invites to people's MLM sex toy groups 👀 the perfume company. F*cking candle company. Wtf. There's probably going to be a loo roll company soon!

ahhh I see the grand tradition of the first few replies deliberately misunderstanding the OP and being arses for no reason is still firmly in place

Hand sanitiser and "designer" masks are the way to go.

There's a couple of ideas for you.
