To wear the same outfit everyday?

I'm WFH and basically wear my fave joggers and jumper everyday. To the gym, to zoom calls, to DCs' school pick ups, to the shop. I dont bother with makeup. I change what's underneath, although I'm contemplating just sleeping in the same clothes. I do have other clothes. Should I make more of an effort?

Yes. Do you wash them daily or just put stinky gym clothes back on?

PetitTorteois · 24/09/2020 21:28

Every day

ReeseWitherfork · 24/09/2020 21:28

No. Tbh I don’t see the bother in worrying about it too much if you’re comfy and happy with how you look. Obviously wash them every couple of days 🤪

Is it just the clothes or do you feel like you’re in a rut which you might like to talk about? Happy to listen if so.

MrsRogerLima · 24/09/2020 21:30

You want to sleep in the same outfit you wear everyday?

Are you feeling ok?

Morgan12 · 24/09/2020 21:30

I would change for the school run.

bigbeautwoman · 24/09/2020 21:32

As long as you’re clean and presentable does it really matter. Some of us like being comfortable and in relaxed clothing and others like being a bit more glam and dressed up.

steff13 · 24/09/2020 21:35

If you have multiples of the same outfit like Albert Einstein, YANBU. If it's literally the same clothes every day, YABU.

ApolloandDaphne · 24/09/2020 21:40

Surely you need to wash them every few days? What do you wear then?

TrixiePants · 24/09/2020 21:42

Gym clothes I change into there and wash each time... I meant I wear it going into gym.

I do wash them. But it's so comfy and easy. Like having a uniform.

I'm joking about sleeping in them.

It doesnt feel like a rut no but I think some people might have noticed on the school run.

I wear proper clothes on weekends when I wash them

This thread has to be a joke. No ones that nasty especially during a pandemic.

I've called time on the work from home wardrobe I bought in March. Leggings/harem pants, t shirts and a cardigan. All grey and black. It's getting me down. Now I have a dog so I lay those clothes out for the early walk with wellies and a coat, have a quick shower before getting into them (a longer one in the evening) then when I get back I change into jeggings and a range of striped t shirts with a nicer cardigan. It's still the same comfort level but looks smarter and is brighter. I've put a mascara and blusher in my bathroom cabinet (my make up stays downstairs) so I don't forget to put a bit on when I change and settle on my office which is in the box bedroom. I keep a multi use balm and lip gloss on my desk. I have to ring the changes now or I'll go nuts

TrixiePants · 24/09/2020 21:47

I do have multiples, they're not exactly the same but it's pretty similar. I feel better knowing Einstein is on my wavelength

At the start of lockdown I realised I would have to wear nice clothes, normal makeup, hair done, or I would end up insane in joggers and slippers. It is nice to have that time in the morning getting ready, and because I no longer walk home from work, it’s good to have the transition of cleansing my face and changing into “house clothes”:

That’s me, if you’re happy, go for your life.

MrsEricBana · 24/09/2020 22:09

I wear a uniform based on multiples of a couple of basics, always clean but to anyone else I basically look like I'm wearing the exact same thing every day. No one has ever said anything. It was good enough for Steve Jobs...

ivykaty44 · 24/09/2020 22:13

I have two outfits atm and alternate, plus running stuff. Makes up one load with towels so saves on washing to much

RainRainGoAway12 · 24/09/2020 22:13

Works well for Mark Zukerberg as well! Smile

helpfulperson · 24/09/2020 22:19

Many top ecmzecs wear the same clothes every day steve jobs is another. So long as its clean under every day and clean on top as needed there isnt a problem. I wear leggings and a rotation of about 4 tops.

helpfulperson · 24/09/2020 22:19

Executives!

TrixiePants · 24/09/2020 22:26

That's true I forget all the men in the office wear a white/blue shirt and dark trousers

I think leggings are somewhat more presentable and I did plain white t shirt + leggings/skinny Jeans at the start of lockdown... then discovered jogging bottoms that dont stick to your skin are even more comfy.

MadameMeursault · 24/09/2020 22:31

Same here. Massive T shirts and leggings. My reasoning is that I don’t want to wear out my nice clothes just sitting round the house. But oh dear the other day I tried to get my jeans on and found out they’d shrunk inexplicably in the cupboard 😂

BrummyMum1 · 24/09/2020 22:47

I’m all for sticking to your own personal style or uniform but there’s something about head to toe stretch jersey that says “I’ve given up on life”.

eaglejulesk · 24/09/2020 23:02

Wear whatever you find comfortable. You are dressing to suit yourself, not anyone else (and please, just ignore the "oh clothes must be washed after half an hour of wearing" brigade).

Justgorgeous · 24/09/2020 23:04

I purposely put a new outfit on every day. I would never wear the same thing twice in one week!

StCharlotte · 24/09/2020 23:12

I did that when I first WFH but I might be a little more elasticated and a little less shod this time round (although I will never compromise on hair and make up).
