To think I'm facing redundancy next week?

I work in the travel sector and still on furlough as there really is no work for me and only my senior manager has been working through out of my team. Today's announcement of the new wage subsidary scheme says all redundancy notices have to be given by 01st October and you cannot make employees redundant if they're under the new scheme. I'm probably going to lose my job next week aren't I?

It's such an awful feeling isn't it? I've been made redundant before and it didn't really concern me but with the current job climate it's going to be awful

No advice but also facing something similar to you. I’m in the not for profit sector and we had an announcement at my company that there will be redundancies and I suspect we will find out by the 1st if we have a job or not. It is so scary as it is going to be so tough finding a new job. Offering solidarity to you

I'm sorry you're facing this too

We've already had redundancies a few months ago but I strongly suspect more are to come as things for my company are probably worse now than they were then
