Covid is bad enough without people writing 'Marshall' Law all the time

Also, the repetitive nature of all the sayings.

'Self-isolate' shudder

Marshall Law sounds like a 1950’s Hollywood supporting actor. He’d be the other cowboy in films with John Wayne and Montgomery Clift.

southparkroses · 22/09/2020 11:57

Hahahaha yes! Would be an excellent Hollywood actor name

‘Global pandemic’
‘Asymptotic’

southparkroses · 22/09/2020 11:57

At least those are the correct words

DilloDaf · 22/09/2020 11:58

Where have you seen Marshall Law written? It's not a term I've seen linked to the pandemic.

Abraid2 · 22/09/2020 12:00

For a while people were taking Umbridge all the time because of Harry Potter.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/09/2020 12:00

Haven't you seen Boris' new plan though @southparkroses? Paw Patrol are on the case. No pup to small, no pandemic too large. Marshall is taking over as chief pup after Chase ate his mask

Boris' new plans I think
GoldenOmber · 22/09/2020 12:01

‘Asymptotic’ is a geometry term. People mean ‘asymptomatic’. Yes I am being petty but nevertheless I will die on this hill.

Just here mainly.

Oh yes. Sorry I skim read!

Goldenomber- with you on asymptotic. It’s been driving me round the bend for months.

A hill of the shape y2 - x2 = 1?
LindaEllen · 22/09/2020 13:29

If I hear the phrase 'unprecedented times' once more, I will scream!

Lockheart · 22/09/2020 13:33

I like "marital law" myself.

Even better when someone says "marital arts".

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 22/09/2020 13:52

There’s been a lot of causal/casual mix ups lately too.

Abraid2 · 22/09/2020 15:14

And defiantly and definitely confuses a lot of people.

PerkingFaintly · 22/09/2020 15:42

Well that's just caused by people being casual, Countess.

And surely you're less round the bend now and are straightening out, as time has tended to infinity?

AuntieStella · 22/09/2020 16:12

Asymptotic is autocorrect for Asymptomatic

It's taken weeks to teach mine not to do it!

The80sweregreat · 22/09/2020 16:15

I've written Marshall instead of Martial law before now as I didn't look it up !
😬
My bad and I did say sorry!

PablosHoney · 22/09/2020 16:18

I hate the expressions ‘Shielding’ and ‘Sheeple’

AdoreTheBeach · 24/09/2020 13:43

Whenever I see “Marshall” law, I always want to ask who Marshall is. I did have to put my own mother straight and let her know it is martial (and also not marital)
