To wonder if it’s normal to only have this amount of people on an access course

I’m starting an access course and these only four other people. Is this the usual amount?

What is an access course?

There were about 30 on mine, split into 2 groups. Although lots didn't pass the first assessment. We had about 8- 10 in our group by then end. (I think. It was a fair few years ago)
One if the other ones had about 5 people, so lessons they did that crossed over with ours we did together.
