Anyone know what these are? (pic)

posting on here as not getting any replies in Doghouse section.
Does anyone happen to know what these are? They were in my dogs (runny) poo. They are solid enough to withstand a hosing down and a wash under the tap.

Sorry it's gross. Thank you.

Are they plastic? They look like bits of a toy the dog has chewed.

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:03

No, it's not plastic. It's more organic than that. I'm thinking gall stones or something. But I can't find anything that looks like this on google.

HowDeeDooDee · 21/09/2020 19:03

They look like plastic fish pieces

FairyAnn · 21/09/2020 19:04

Yeah, plastic or possibly hard sweets, though not sure they would survive intact.

What texture are they? Hard and rigid, or somewhat squashy? Do they smell of anything? ( Other than the obvious...)

1Morewineplease · 21/09/2020 19:04

Maybe bag them up and take then to the vet?

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:04

def not plastic.

vanillandhoney · 21/09/2020 19:05

Looks like undigested chews or food.

Has he had any new treats recently?

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:06

Kind of soft solid. Need a knife to cut them. Don't smell now they've been washed.

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:07

Ah! he's had some out of date chews…..

OP posts:
pigsDOfly · 21/09/2020 19:07

How hard are they? Like plastic or softer?

They look a bit like bits of toffee. Could they be some sort of sweet?

They're quite big.

Where's he been that he could have eaten them?

SummerHouse · 21/09/2020 19:07

Very odd. What's the consistency?

mogtheexcellent · 21/09/2020 19:09

Yup looks like chews. my dog poos out chunks of jumbones. We dont give her them anymore.

Skyla2005 · 21/09/2020 19:09

Take them to the vet and ask incase it’s part of the intestine or something that shouldn’t come away

vanillandhoney · 21/09/2020 19:11

What chews was it he's had?

In my experience, they often don't chew things properly and stuff just comes out the way it came in!

AriettyHomily · 21/09/2020 19:12

That is bizarre!

pigsDOfly · 21/09/2020 19:12

Yes, if you give your dog things jumbones it could very well be that.

Nasty thing, some of the chews you can buy for dogs.

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:12

Long thin flat hard chews.

OP posts:
vanillandhoney · 21/09/2020 19:13

Were they natural or rawhide?

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:14

not rawhide.

This kind of thing?
fetch.co.uk/whimzees-alligator-large-dog-treats-6-per-pack-242470011
fetch.co.uk/good-boy-chewy-chicken-with-carrot-sticks-dog-treats-320-per-pack-526206011
These do tend to pass, relatively unscathed, through the alimentary canal of a greyhound 🤢

ErrolTheDragon · 21/09/2020 19:24

They look quite like roasted carrot and parsnip. Maybe if he'd found a lot of those to scoff they'd pretty much go straight through? Confused

whateveryousay · 21/09/2020 19:24

Bits of carrot and corn?!

1805 · 21/09/2020 19:29

Pretty sure it's nothing he shouldn't have eaten. I'm trying to get a photo of the chews….

DriftGames · 21/09/2020 19:34

The red/orange ones look like the Whimzee chews - my dog has them regularly but has never passed them like this.

DriftGames · 21/09/2020 19:35

These!
