On Sundays we eat with the kids and I love it. It’s the only day that everyone can eat together. We had a big roast about 5pm. BUT because I’m used to eating with DH about 8/9pm I sometimes get peckish on Sunday nights. My usual pecadillo is peanut butter on toast. I just announced to DH that I’m going to make some, asked if he wanted some, he said no and then he proceeded to sad face all over the place while I’m eating, claiming that now he can see me eating mine, he’s hungry and wants half of mine. Apparently he can’t make his own because he just wants a few bites. He claims that I “can’t possibly” want 2 slices of toast all to myself, but I DO, fucko.

WIBU?

I'd leave the room and eat somewhere else. Can't be doing with that shit.

Oh god that’s so annoying. When you’ve made exactly the amount that you want, and some fucker who’d turned down the chance to be made some tries to parasite off yours.

Tell him to fuck off!

I’m really hungry now, what with this and the cake thread, and I’m trying to do 16:8!

he just wants a few bites

So, a "few adult sized bites" ( three? Four? Five? Anyway more than two as that would be "a couple") would be the best part, or all of a slice of toast WHICH YOU MADE BECAUSE YOU WANTED IT YOURSELF.

Yes he should go and sad face in the kitchen whilst making his own.

This is typical behaviour of someone who (1) is too lazy to make their own snack and just thinks they can snaffle someone else's, because they are really very much more important and (b) wants to be a martyr who can say they haven't had a meal since 5pm (the calories don't count if it's someone else's food apparently). Confused

Also it really gets on my tits when anyone tries to tell me what I want or think. I'm a grown adult. I can work that out for myself thank you, Einstein.

My DH does that with toast....he cooks ONE slice, eats it standing by the toaster and then eats a second. I cook two, take them to sit down and eat them and sometimes he'll ask for one.

I ALWAYS say no so no idea why he bothers!
