Should I do sw or ww online?

Hi,

I did sw until lock down and was well on my way to target going to meetings every week and had a great bunch of friends.

Then lockdown happened and lots of cake to drown sorrows etc.. All excuses but what can I say.

I can't face going back to group as I've put on so much weight plus the new rules just leave me feeling not right. So am looking at doing it online instead

Can anyone recommend which is better online? To give you context I am a very active person and like to eat not nibble on a bit of fruit to last the day. I also cook majority of meals from scratch and am really loving cooking for the whole family together instead of doing one meal for kids and one for me. Wasn't sure if this impacts things like points tracking with ww.. Would it be tricky to do and leave me getting fed up after a week or two?

Any advice welcomed or a magic wand would be even better

SW is very much in vogue now and lots of people succeed on it, but personally I prefer WW. SW is awful if you're veggie or vegan, and I find the setup weird and unnatural...WW is better, in my opinion, for helping you learn more normal portion sizes and to incorporate the foods you like into a balanced diet. Less likely to make you constipated too.

Is it easy enough to do with cooking for a family. For example if I cook spag bol for the whole family will it be a headache working out points?

The beauty of it is that you can have anything at all, you just need to count the points. A lot of people prefer SW because there's less weighing and measuring, but I don't mind doing that; seems the best way to learn real portion size to me. So yes, you can make your spag bol or anything else for the family, work out the points in your portion, or measure it to whatever number you have for dinner, and just plan the rest of your meals for that day to accommodate it. You do need to do a bit of weighing at first but you do eventually get an eye for it. A few changes like using spray oil, but nobody will notice that.

It's got to be what works for you. Personally I really do prefer WW. Always have.

I do WW. It’s straightforward and the app is absolutely great.

I personally prefer WW online. The app is fantastic and it’s really easy to track your points. I’ve had a few lax weeks but am getting back on it tomorrow. 1 stone down. Many many more to go!

Just calorie count. It’s free and you can fit in whatever you want, including a family spag Bol! You just need to work out the calories instead of points. It becomes very easy after a while. Did I mention it’s free?...

Are you registered with www.patientaccess.com/ through your GP? There's a free 3-month membership for WW listed on my account.

Can you join another SW group in your area? If you were on your way to target sounds as though you were doing well - are you sure you can't go back ?
