Playing golf alone whilst self isolating?? Who’s BU here?

DH has returned from a work trip abroad and must self isolate for 2 weeks. He is staying alone in our self contained annexe, working from home and I am dropping in food/shopping to him etc, so far so good until today...

As I was leaving our golf club I noticed him driving in. I called him on my way home and he said he thought it was perfectly ok considering he was playing himself and it was late afternoon so not very busy on the course.

AIBU to think he’s being selfish? Stressing out that someone could potentially report him for not self isolating

Self isolating means not leaving your property.

I heard on the news today that a huge cluster of cases in Bolton has been traced back to one person who didn’t quarantine when he/she returned from abroad. Your dh is a selfish arse.

Yes, but that person went on a pub crawl when they returned. They didn’t play golf outside by themselves.

Your husband is not following guidelines OP. Not sure if it’s illegal or just against the rules, I’ve lost track. However I think the risk is minimal, assuming he’s not going in for a drink in the bar afterwards.

Your husband is breaching quarantine.
He could have contact with another player on the course or in the car park.
If they do a spot check and he's not at home there will be consequences.

Why does your husband not think that the quarantine rules apply to him? They're easy to check.
