Childhood cataracts

Hi,
I know this is probably the wrong thread but I was hoping to get some advice from parents/carers who have had a child diagnosed with cataracts.
My daughter is 6, no problems with vision but we had an annual check up today at the opticians and was advised that she has congenital cataracts.
This has come as a great shock and I just would like to hear some first hand experiences that anyone can offer and what we can expect next?

Thankyou x

Hello! We have a cc child too. Good news if they haven't affected her vision so far. Come and join the fb group 'Children with Congenital Cataracts'. It is full of kind and knowledgeable parents. Sorry it must have been a shock for you but the outcomes are often very good Smile
