🤮 to the idea of having a sticky phone from never cleaning it or wiping it.

Is there a backstory here?

CherryBlossomPink · 19/09/2020 21:02

Mine never gets sticky and don’t clean it, but nothing stopping you doing yours! Knock yourself out

Eateateat · 19/09/2020 21:14

@CherryBlossomPink

How does it never get sticky?

OP posts:
Ishihtzuknot · 19/09/2020 21:18

I agree, anti bac or bleach wipes every day on mine. Studies concluded there are more germs on your phone than a toilet, gross.

dementedpixie · 19/09/2020 21:19

I occasionally use a glasses cleaning wipe

Boom45 · 19/09/2020 21:20

What are you doing to make your phone sticky??

Clean it!

Plussizejumpsuit · 19/09/2020 21:23

Ok so just clean it then. Is someone not letting you?

Bootikin · 19/09/2020 21:24

So buy some sterile spirit wipes and carefully clean it ffs.

caughtalightsneeze · 19/09/2020 21:25

Mine doesn't get sticky either.

The tablet that my 8 year old uses gets sticky, because he has a tendency to attempt to play Roblox and eat a pancake at the same time.

But my phone is only used by me and I'm an obsessive handwasher (even pre-covid) so it has never got sticky.

Eateateat · 19/09/2020 21:26

@Honeybobbin

Do you ever clean your phone?

OP posts:
fruitpastille · 19/09/2020 21:28

I don't clean mine. It's not sticky. They're my germs. The only illness I get is a cold one or twice a year.

TheEC · 19/09/2020 21:31

My phone has never been sticky either!? I wash my hands often. My kids tablet deffo gets sticky as he’s less careful ie if eating apple slices and playing on tablet. My phone? Nope. I wipe it now and again but I’ve never cleaned it Confused

UnaMujer · 19/09/2020 21:35

@Eateateat ooh we had a thread like this yesterday. Op was obsessed with cleaning her phone. You should look it up.

SadiePurple · 19/09/2020 21:36

I sometimes rub mine with my sleeve

I rub mine with an alcohol / anti bac wipe

TheHighestSardine · 19/09/2020 22:08

You again? Can't you think of anything more interesting to post about?

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 19/09/2020 22:09

Erm... clean it then Confused
What's the AIBU here? Confused

ittakes2 · 19/09/2020 22:09

I clean with Alchol wipes at least once a day. I figured if we are meant to be cleaning surfaces we touch more often our phones are a surface!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 19/09/2020 22:11

Is someone stopping you from cleaning it?

I give mine the occasional lick and rub it on my jeans - does that count?

CamelotSweetheart · 19/09/2020 22:15

I believe this is correct. Think of how many times in a day you touch your phone, clean hands or not. Do you never use it when you're on public transport, or never get it out in pubs or cafes? Phones are filthy, covered in bacteria and should be properly cleaned at least once a day.
