To ask if On-Pack promotions really convince you to buy products?

I usually only buy one if I see a holiday one, don't usually buy others unless DD is with me and sees one and asks if we can enter.

I doubt they've ever convinced me to buy anything tbh.

Tigerdinnershow · 19/09/2020 20:00

I don't buy products specifically because they have an on pack promotion. If its something I usually buy and it just happens to have a promotion on then I will enter of course.

Not usually no. The worst ones are the lucky number ones.Very often the winning number isn't used so they don't have to give out. Random ones are better, and there are others where they pick at particular times of day, so to distance the first person to enter their code at say 1009 15 seconds will win.

I've been out just to buy chocolate and cereal to get a 2for1 entry to places.
Otherwise, no. So I guess I'll do it if I know I will definitely benifit from the promotion, but not for a competition.

A few years back KitKat had a promotion to win a Tablet. I bought about 100 and won 8 of the things, I kept one sold the other 7 and donated the kitkats to the local food bank 😀 A complete moment of madness that actually paid off.

Pelleas · 19/09/2020 21:03

No, because availing yourself of the promotion usually involves handing over your personal details.

Rollrollthroughtheday · 19/09/2020 21:14

@Pelleas

Of course, they need to be able to contact you if you win.

No but when it comes To skin care, I’m a marketers dream. Slap anti age, or radiance in the pack and I’ll practically chuck my cash at you

Yes - but the extremely small chance of being contacted as a winner is not worth the certainty of being spammed forever.
