He's lying on the sofa, puffing, panting and moaning. It's only a cold ffs. Why can't he go back to bed where I can't hear him?
Glad I'm off to work.

Not unreasonable.... unrealistic perhaps

Summerfruitfullofscaryworms · 09/10/2007 08:22

I had it this week end, he must have said at least 100 times : I'm not well, I feel terrible, I feel like shit, touch my forehead is it hot ?...but in the other hand he was well enough to support england for the rugby on saturday !!

WideWebWitch · 09/10/2007 08:33

God they're pathetic aren't they?

rookiemum · 09/10/2007 08:38

Well I wasn't well yesterday see my thread about DH playing football.

Eventually he came home last night late because he HAD to give a lift to someone who he doen't even know well enough to know that he lives at the other end of town. He is now complaining of not feeling well, unfortunately he is in line to get the same amount of sympathy that I got so I asked him to pick up our DS tonight and he can do tea time and bath time, I may not even bother coming home ( although I still feel pretty pants too so I might go to bed)

lizziemun · 09/10/2007 08:39

yanbu.

Can i come and lie on your sofa, as i have a very sore throat and a temp. I promise not to groan.

oh and can you look after a 3y 10mnth (should be at nursery but i feel to ill to walk her ) and a 4 week baby who screams a lot .

If not i manage as i'm a mum.

MamaG · 09/10/2007 08:39

You are living in a farking dream world! Stock up on teh lempsips now, they love to sit and nurse them

rookiemum · 09/10/2007 08:44

Make sure they are Xtra Strength Lemsips, the ordinary ones aren't powerful enough for man flu donchaknow

LowFat · 09/10/2007 08:49

My DH is 'coming down with something' because he sneezed and had a shiver....

Nothing to do with the fact I had just dusted and the heating was'nt on

TheApprentice · 09/10/2007 08:53

Was just going to post what Wheelybug said..

Don't they realise that the more they moan and groan the less sympathy they are going to get?!
