To think I might be pregnant?

DH has the snip 3 years ago. We haven't used any other form of birth control because I really did think this was reliable. With each of my pregnancies I've woken up at 4 in the morning with hugely sore boobs and a full sort of feeling. Exactly the same thing happened last night. I'm 41! Surely not! Right?

It’s possible but very very very unlikely.

As I get older my boobs and body are doing increasingly odd things, many of which feels like I’m pregnant.

Only one way to find out. Wait for period to be a week late and do a test

Might be menopause symptoms?

TeddyDahlia · 19/09/2020 08:36

Seems unlikely but worth taking a test to be sure!

SerenDippitty · 19/09/2020 08:59

Could be perimenopause.

MrsToothyBitch · 19/09/2020 09:00

It's worth checking- you know your body. Similar to @Dishwashersaurous though my boobs seem to be inclined to play tricks on me as I've got a little older.

I had proper "pregnant" boobs a few months ago, was 100% sure I wasn't but we checked anyway because it was so unlike anything I'd ever had before and they were really "different" feeling. Turns out my boobs celebrated turning 30 by deciding that this is just what they do pre-period now (and really bloody early), although they've not done it quite so dazzlingly since.

It makes me feel better than other people's tits have gone through funny phases as well. I just couldn't have another and yet the idea of abortion fills me with dread. There's a reason DH got the snip!

My niece was born a few years after my brother's vasectomy. It happens.

SerenDippitty · 19/09/2020 09:13

Has your DH been having checks to ensure the snip is still working?

Gigglr · 19/09/2020 09:32

They checked at 3 months (before which we were told to use birth control) then at 1 year. We were told he needed no further checks. Is this not right?

Well it can happen, but you need to take a test.

That’s the reason I worry about DH getting the snip as I absolutely don’t want another baby.
