How long did you wait for results of Covid test?

Just that really. How long did you have to wait for the results if you have tested in the last week or so?

In case it is useful for anyone to know - I got so far on the website to book a test at a centre about 20 min away. Names, test centre/time & car reg listed on site but no confirmation email or text. Went to test site, could not be tested without QR code despite having been tested a few weeks ago when the emailed QR code could not be scanned. Test site manager (most recent) told me that test results could no longer be processed without QR code, test could be done but results could not be shared and that this system change happened within the last couple of weeks. They said that since the system change they have gone from testing 250/300 per day to 70/75.

19 hours to get test appointment + 2 hours wait for appointment +47 hours before results.

So 68 hours in total from when I entered the “system”.

Couldn’t get a test. Managed to get as far as booking a test three times but didn’t get the confirmation or qr code. So our household is self-isolating because my 3year old has a cold and coughed a bit at preschool.

Oh, this isn't making me feel hopeful! We had a test yesterday afternoon and I was hoping to hear by tomorrow at least. Sounds like it might be longer!

Tested Tuesday at 2 pm. Results Thursday 6am.

Had the council volunteers here on Friday asking us all to get a test (outbreak area) no results yet.

Tested at 9.30am Friday at Gatwick testing place and emailed result at 11pm. Impressive. Covid free gut feeling rough

Got tested at 10.30am this Tuesday, results were back 9.40am on the Wednesday. In Scotland though so not sure if that makes a difference.

A fortnight ago we got one back within 24 hours, but one friend waited about 4 days last week.

I just got my daughter's back, 22 hours later! I tested myself too and haven't had mine yet...

well, some of these make me optimistic, and others not!

dd tested this morning at 8:30am in a walk in centre.
We ahve been told between 48 hours and 5 days Sad
Whole family having to self isolate, including a year 11 and year 13 and I am losing pay every day.
Woudl love a 24 hour turn around.

I got my results back after about 25 hours - tested together with my 4 year old and submitted tests together, still got them back 3 hours later than I got hers. We're in the South East.

I get tested weekly in work. I get tested on a Wednesday and the results don't get to me until Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. To me this is a pointless exercise because I'll have still been in work/out and about for the majority of the time I would have been isolating for if I actually had symptoms.

It's odd though because people who are going to the drive through ones get the results within 24-48 hours. Maybe the courier for our ones is slow.

In Scotland.....DD sent home from school last Thursday at 9am, got test booked for 11am and negative results back at 10:30pm.

47 hours from a drive in test. I was really surprised (it took us three and a half days to actually book the test!).

Tested as a family weds am at test centre in South (lovely helpful staff). Unfortunately still waiting for my results, which is frustrating. Been told 24/48 hours so I can't go to the office, kids can't go back to school etc

I’m in Yorkshire. Took DD to be tested yesterday at 10:30am and haven’t heard back yet. My friend got her test done half an hour up the road at about 9am yesterday and got her results back at lunchtime today. I think it totally varies from test centre to test centre, I’m not sure you can even group it by county.

I had to havr another test yesterday- test at 15.30, negative result just came in.
