Just that really. How long did you have to wait for the results if you have tested in the last week or so?

Tested at drive in both me and DD Sunday at 1.30pm.
Results for me Tuesday at 3.10am.
Results for DD Tuesday at 11.40am.

Dilemmawithemma · 19/09/2020 09:11

Thanks everyone. We are SE and tested at a walkthrough yesterday morning. Hoping for a quick turnaround

dododotheconga · 19/09/2020 09:21

Tested on Wednesday and still waiting therefore still off work... Does anyone know whether results come at weekends too?

raspberryrippleicecream · 19/09/2020 09:29

Yes they do dodo.

mrscampbellblackagain · 19/09/2020 09:29

dc tested in newport wales on thursday at 9.30am and still waiting for results.

They said it would take 24 - 48 hours but clearly not.

Bupkis · 19/09/2020 09:31

We have had a 17 day wait (in July)
...and a 17 hour wait (yesterday)

So who knows!

Plastictattoo · 19/09/2020 09:32

Tested Thursday am. Results back 6:30am. The test was unclear so have to do it again but I've been trying for 3 hours to book a test with no luck... NW hot spot

Runningincircles · 19/09/2020 12:11

14 hours. I guess we were really lucky.

Yoffel · 19/09/2020 12:14

Tested on Tuesday (Bradford self test drive through), results 24 hours later.

Dilemmawithemma · 19/09/2020 12:32

Is it a text message response?

48 hours from arriving at the postal test centre in Glasgow. Got both a text message and an email.

Cookerhood · 19/09/2020 12:34

@Dilemmawithemma

Is it a text message response?
Ours was
olderthanyouthink · 19/09/2020 12:37

Sent DDs test off on Wednesday and haven't heard a thing? Didn't know you were supposed to get a message saying your test had been received?! We didn't last time but then one of those tests never came back at all!

Whydidibuythemclay · 19/09/2020 12:39

17 hours. I was amazed.
Live in SW London but travelled an hour out to mobile unit.

meow1989 · 19/09/2020 12:40

About 3 weeks ago we waited 17 hours for a negative result.

A friend this week waited about 40.

mrscampbellblackagain · 19/09/2020 12:41

I really wish you could check status of the test. My worry is somehow it got lost and then you don't know for ages.

Crunchymum · 19/09/2020 12:42

Another thread I can moan on Grin

We haven't even received our test yet. Started trying for it on Weds first thing, eventually got one yesterday but it has missed today's post and now can't go until Monday which is day 6 for the child in question.

So I assume the test will be null and void and we'll just have to quarantine anyway.

DP is staying away (he's been working away so just won't come home as he is self employed and cannot afford 2 weeks off!). Kids will miss 10 days of school, despite only being back for 7. Youngest will miss a medical appointment, 2 private physio sessions and her nursery start date.

And I'll have to manage them all whilst WFH.

All because it took 48h to get a test. And I tried constantly in those 48 hours.

The system is broken, in ways I hadn't been considered before my experience.

No access to tests is going to fuck up people's lives. If DP hadn't been working away we'd lose our main income for two weeks, he'd probably be sacked from this project as well. I'm tempted to tell him to go to his parents as with 3 kids we are going to have coughs and temperatures over the next few months and we cannot afford for DP to not work for 2 weeks at a time.

I am praying for a saliva / quick test or at least to be able to get a test in a more viable time frame!!

Groovee · 19/09/2020 12:42

Dd is tested weekly. Used to be within 24 hours. Last 2 weeks have taken 5 days!

NaomiS1 · 19/09/2020 12:44

My daughter had her test at 8am yesterday morning, and the email with the result came though at 2:15am this morning, so about 18hours! Such a relief!

Floralnomad · 19/09/2020 12:44

A member of our family had a test and it took 10 days for the result , that is SE and in the last 2 weeks .

mrscampbellblackagain · 19/09/2020 12:46

I can see why people just won't bother testing when it takes forever to book tests/get results. I can't understand how testing is still such a shambles.

Doyouwantanothercuppa · 19/09/2020 12:48

Test at 10am. Result No1 by 11pm and No2 by 6am. Not bad!

Whatwouldscullydo · 19/09/2020 12:49

Test about 2.30.
Results through just after 8 the following morning.

Super quick

olderthanyouthink · 19/09/2020 14:24

crunchy that's rough! I know someone who was snuggling to get a test for their child so went and got a private test done but that's not affordable for most people as a one off let alone over and over
