Flu Jab...

Has anybody had the flu jab and had any cold symptoms later on?

I had it earlier in the week. A couple of days later, I had a sore throat and then I was all snotty! I'm still the same now though I feel absolutely fine in myself 🤧

Just wanted to see if this was the 'norm' as I've never had the flu jab before! 🤔😊

The flu jab isnt a live vaccine so it most likely didnt cause you to have a runny nose.

You probably just cought a bog standard mild cold.

You can get mild flu like symptoms as a side effect.

But snotty nose isn't a flunsymptom, so I think you've got the cold that is going around

Thanks! 😊 I wasn't sure as I've never had it before! 😊

You can’t get the flu from the flu vaccine; that’s a myth. It’s not a live vaccine.

No-one has said you can get flu from the vaccine!

Agree that mild flu-like symptoms are a common side effect, and that copious snot = coincidentally timed cold

RoseAndRose It’s a common misconception.
