Self isolation

Got call last week from DC's school as DC has a cough, told to pick up and self isolate until tested.
All DC and DH have colds! Got tested and awaiting test results.
DH is self employed and works in motor industry.
He is adamant as he works alone that he can "isolate" at work.
I am sure he is meant to be self isolating at home!
Please tell me who is being unreasonable!

You’re not supposed to leave the house when isolating so technically HIBU although the risk is probably negligible

Someone has to go out and earn money. YABU.

Topseyt · 18/09/2020 16:12

I think that as the risk is so negligible he will be fine. I see nothing wrong with his proposal.

Miraculous · 18/09/2020 16:12

Does he actually see anyone? If not then I can’t see an issue. Plus I assume he needs to earn money.

Who knows 🤷‍♀️. The rules change every 5 mins and stick a local ‘lockdown’ in the mix and your guess is as good as anyones.

Gut reaction is that you’re right and all should stay home til results are in, but I might be wrong.

None of you should leave the house except in a handful of prescribed scenarios. Unfortunately earning enough to stop the bailiffs isnt one of them.
