depo injection

I've been on depo injection for 16monrhs now and never had a problem with anything never had a period since now I got my shot 1 week ago and I've been bleeding heavy for 6 days now no period pain at all just wont stop bleeding is thus normal I'm not used to it. It stopped my period fully the day I went on the depo

When I was on the depo I had this intermittently. I mentioned it to the nurse and ended up having some investigations but all was ok. I'd just mention it at your next appointment. Are you still having it? My last appointment was cancelled - Covid! They gave me a pill instead which I'm happy with

I've been on depo for years and never had any issues (or periods!) If you are worried can you call the nurse and ask for advice?

I also had my appointments stopped for covid and was given the pill. Just had my injections started again and so happy! Hated the pill!

If you are having appointments cancelled can you ask for Sayana press? I went off depo and onto that because you administer it yourself at home. Was encouraged by my nurse along with all patients on depo at the surgery so they could free up appointments for other cases. I've been on it two years now and at my review the nurse said no one had asked to go back on depo. No bleeding on it either but I didn't bleed in 3 years on depo.

There booked my next one wen I left so there wont cancel it and yes I'm of it again

I've lost nearly 2 stone so not sure it will be that. Or not x

You need to contact the doctor, the first one i had i bled after 3 weeks awfully so they gave me a top up a month later (now been on it for 20+ years). i have also had spotting which after investigations turned out to be an ovarian cyst, your weight loss is also a big concern if you havent been dieting.

I will book appointment tommorow thanks and I've been dieting for 3 months as depo put alot of weight on me I've been on it 16 months only issues I had with it is wright gain a lot I put on 5 stone in 16 months but I've lost 2 stone in 3 months and working out alot more so its working x
