Little girls dressed head to toe in insipid pink

OP posts:
Mamawell · 17/09/2020 11:51

Not going to lie, I agree with @mamanrose

Look at the title of the thread, none of our business. Just an opinion.

Mamawell · 17/09/2020 11:52

Whoever said pregnant women are disgusting... that's another matter. 😡

MsMiaWallace · 17/09/2020 11:52

My neighbour when he comes home from work, drives erratically fast onto the cul de sac & reverses right in front of our window obviously taking the opportunity to nosey in.

People walking with pushchair with a fag on.
Also people smoking weed out in public such as the park. Each to their own but I don't really like my kids breathing in that shit.

HoboSexualOnslow · 17/09/2020 11:53

Baby on board signs
The mini football kits in the back of car windows 🤢

MuthaFunka61 · 17/09/2020 11:54

People who confuse feelings for thoughts,ie;
I feel like going to bed rather than I'm feeling tired,I think I'll go to bed.

Men who expect women to defer just because we're women.

Ginkypig · 17/09/2020 11:54
@Ginkypig well done you. You have a free annoyance pass
Thank you so much @CaviarAndCigarettes!

I'm doing it cold turkey because covid has stopped all services and honestly at the moment think I'd actually rather just stop existing than feel like this but apparently things will improve if I just ride it out (liars all of them are liars!)

I'm at hour 44 so nothing since 4pm on Tuesday so if I can just hold out for the next couple of weeks I'm hoping that then it will be easier.

I really appreciated your comment.

Redcups64 · 17/09/2020 11:59

Grandparents. They automatically assume your asking for childcare when their grandchildren just want to spend some time with them

mamanrose · 17/09/2020 12:02
@mamanrose I think you are being slightly picked on - your comment was nowhere near as bad as the PP who said pregnant women were disgusting! But I think the reason it has struck a nerve is that unlike most of the other irritants identified on this thread (infants in head bows, leggings, closing curtains etc) the decision to formula feed is usually a difficult one that parents are pushed into either because they don’t feel they have an alternative, or because the alternative is, for them, much worse. I accept there may be some mothers who could easily breastfeed but choose not to because of apparently superfluous reasons, but that is rare. It’s much more commonly the result of pain / lack of support / poor supply / tongue tie / need to work, etc.

That’s why people are hurt. You’re presenting it as a selfish choice, when for most women it doesn’t feel like a choice at all.
Well put. In hindsight I agree that there is a lack of education around breastfeeding and I also feel like it is presented as simply a choice whether to breastfeed or not without the explanation of the benefits of breastfeeding. However I still feel as though many mothers do choose to formula feed as it is easier** and as stated, use an excuse such as low supply. Personally I know a good amount of mothers who have told me it is easier to formula feed as that is why do so.

Also many of the other comments are sly digs at the working class such as baby names, fake tans and use of language. Most working class people have been brought up in working class families and although social mobility is possible, there are a lack of opportunities in working class communities.

And finally, if you are going to be offended maybe you shouldn't have started reading this thread!

UmmH · 17/09/2020 12:02

Men who wear flop flops in the city.

MsMiaWallace · 17/09/2020 12:02

People who are paying to try & lose weight (slimmers world etc) then sit & work scoffing cakes, biscuits & various crap. Oh dunno why I gained this week....!

Fatarseflanagan09 · 17/09/2020 12:21

Little babies in jeans.
Fat men in short tee shirts and baggy jogging pants.
People who give their children Disney names, I heard one mother shout fuck off Moanna at her daughter.
Some friends of mine who live on a private estate wrote letters of complaint and harassed the local council because of plans to build social housing about a mile away from them.
Women putting obviously photoshopped pictures of themselves on Facebook and daring their friends to do the same so others can guess their age.
Sil and Bil posting pictures of themselves on Facebook sitting in a hot tub, they look like fucking Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum.
I'm a miserable cow me.

ALLIS0N · 17/09/2020 12:24

People who are trying and failing to lose weight but keep talking about their entitlement.

“Well I’ve had no breakfast ( only 4 milky coffees and half a dozen rich tea biscuits since I arrived at work ) so I’m entitled to a MacDonald’s at lunchtime “

“ Well I’ve walked 3km today to I’m entitled to a curry for dinner”.

Then moan to everyone about how they must have a slow metabolism because they eat hardly anything and still don’t lose weight. While everyone sits like this 🙄🙄 🤐🤐🤐

Sanitisethat · 17/09/2020 12:32

And finally, if you are going to be offended maybe you shouldn't have started reading this thread!

I’m not offended. My baby isn’t even born yet, so I haven’t faced any feeding difficulties. I intend to breastfeed and will give it my best shot. But if there proves to be a reason why it isn’t possible for me, I’m not going to accept that I’m worthy of judgment from other parents as a result Smile

mamanrose · 17/09/2020 12:39

@Sanitisethat that part wasn't only for you but for everyone offended by comments in this thread.

Mamawell · 17/09/2020 12:53

Hot tub one made me crack up 🤣
grumpymacgrumpface · 17/09/2020 13:02

Ordering by reading the entire description of a dish not just the summary (I.e. asking for the "pan-fried sea bass with samphire just, braised cabbage and new potatoes". Just ask for the sea bass, the serving staff will know what you mean)

I have to admit I'm sometimes tempted to do this when the description is particularly pretentious.

OldEvilOwl · 17/09/2020 13:02

My neighbours closing their curtains randomly for an hour or so during the day (usually about now). Why? Why are they doing this?

They are watching a film and the light from the window is shining in on the tv

GabsAlot · 17/09/2020 13:06

i have my curtains closed all day-if i dont i cant see the tv

people who dont read thread titles and go off on a tangent

Heartofglass12345 · 17/09/2020 13:20

Massive lip fillers
Double barrelled names
The way people dress their babies like something resembling Victorian times in long socks and bloomers with big pink or blue fluffy prams
Headbands on babies
Seeing kids past the age of 1 with dummies stuck in their mouths and a big round gap between their top and bottom teeth
Women posting pictures of themselves breast feeding on the internet for the approval of random strangers

Trixie18 · 17/09/2020 13:21

Baby girls with hair clips and headbands when they have no fucking hair!!!

Heartofglass12345 · 17/09/2020 13:22

Also babies in football kits and 2 yr old boys being signed up for football just because they're boys

Trixie18 · 17/09/2020 13:23

Oldevilowl, I've got my living room curtains closed atm so my boys can nap in there. They're closed randomly throughout the day for this reason 👍

parmahampam · 17/09/2020 13:26

Cyclists who cycle on the road next to the cycle path. Just.....thanks for making me drive at your speed so you can avoid a few dropped kerbs.

ViciousJackdaw · 17/09/2020 13:29

People who decide to have children knowing full well they will end up as young carers. Of course nobody has a crystal ball and some DC do end up in this role through a parent's misfortune. I have nothing but compassion in these circumstances but to bring a DC into this world in the knowledge they will have to take on caring duties is outrageously unfair.

Absolutely none of my business but does annoy me. One reason why I have no DC myself.

Brokenchair1 · 17/09/2020 13:34

Not RTFT so some of these probably been mentioned but
People putting 20+ photos on FB of their kids when 1 would suffice
People dressing their kids in matchy matchy outfits
Cyclist
Parents who treat school drop off as a social outing and turn up en famille
Before lockdown ditto at birthday parties in soft play
Shopping with both parents and all kids during covid
People who let their kids run around supermarkets
People who let their kids watch devices in coffee shops with no headphones when everyone one else is working
I could go on...
I'm perpetually annoyed 😂
