Gah!!
Two days - when I am working, - to magically produce a blardy Victorian schoolboy outfit.
Thoughtless gits!
I am an uber-mummy so I do have plan B in the children's dressy-up box, but really! What are we supposed to do, knit costumes out of thin air?

Two whole days?

You lucky thing

fullmoonfiend · 08/10/2007 17:34

Actually, why am I moaning? If I get up at 4, I should be able to weave something suitable out of lentils...
....while being a temporary single parent, organising ds's birthday, attending first ever parent/governor meeting, organising special awareness day at work and helping out at other ds's PTA event tomorrow evening.
It's fine, no really, all fine - cancel this thread.

Oooh, I'd be cross too. Surely they knew some time ago that they were having a school trip.

In your shoes, I'd be stuffed. Not sure what I'd do.

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/10/2007 17:51

You got TWO DAYS?? We usually get something in the book bag the night before eg "School photographer in tomorrow! Don't forget your hairbrush!" "School trip tomorrow! Don't forget packed lunch and wellies!"

Oh yes, we had day before notice of Victorian outfit as well. I am unfit WOHM, so usually discover these missives at 10.00 at night.

Oh I know, its so annoying! Send your child dressed as a 16th Century Peasant with one week notice. What fun! (Saw lots of Disney Princess Peasants at our school). Mine went in vintage....vintage M and S 1980s peasant style blouse that is! It is parents evening next week, DH at uni one night out of the 2 it may be and have babysitter on standby. Still no appointment slot from school.

mazzystar · 08/10/2007 18:03

make them vv dirty and send them as a chimney sweep
