Can we stick posts about COVID on the covid board. So bloody fed up with so many covid posts.

Oh yes please! Or a special board for people asking whether they should send their child to school with a cough. So many threads on that!

Honestly, so many threads and everyone is right. What did parents do years ago before the internet, who did they ask about sending kids to school. There’s a covid board I wish to god it’d be used and this can get back to normal

There wasn't covid before the internet Decisions about sending children to school prior to covid weren't so complicated

People are worried and looking for support - understandably so.

I'm sick of it popping up in active constantly.

It's something that is pretty much effecting every aspect of every day life, its unrealistic to put every post that mentions it in the covid topic.

Shouldn't this be on the covid board?

ilovesooty I get that but there is a separate board for it. I understand people are worried but they can worry on the covid board.

Totally. Dont know how many times i have seen " my ds cleared his throat a couple of times, do i need a test"?

Also think there should be one thread for can you get a test/ how ling did your results take.

There would be hardly any posts considering its effecting shops, schools, work, home, friendships, activities, the way we parent and pretty much every other aspect of life.

I hid the covid board right back at the beginning as it was insane. I do have a look about once a week as there are some very helpful threads on there with real statistics and sensible discussion, but almost every thread is should I test/how do I get a test/I can't get a test/should they go to school/am I the only one who thinks the rule of 6 is illogical.

It's good that they did - I would imagine that I am not the only one who has hidden that board and it is good to have the discussion about whether covid posts should continue to be moved there yes they should

@Kinny14 it's up to the poster where they post, not you 🤷🏻‍♀️ aibu gets more traffic and you're not the thread police!

Seeing posts whinging on about where people post is annoying. The posts you refer to are people looking for advice, support, reassurance. Not just some generic covid rant... Or a post to make others feel bad (like yours).

Well then posters can get advice, support and reassurance on the Coronavirus board.

Well, posters do tend to get better advice from more knowledgeable people if they post their relationship issues on the right board. The same is true for coronavirus - many people there with excellent advice and knowledge.

I know everyone uses MN differently - I look at "last day" and if I didn't have the CV board hidden then almost every other post would be about when to test/where to test/how long results take and whether a child can go to school with a runny nose.

Most of the boards that don't mention covid at all. Hide chat and AIBU and covid and theres pretty much no mention of it anywhere else.

I like to see the more popular boards in active - I feel like I am getting a picture of the zeitgeist

AIBU is the only board I go on, I might hop on relationships every now and again though.

100% agree OP it's depressing and draining. Everyone looking to discuss COVID knows where to look.
