Posting for traffic, sorry.
Spent 2 days online refreshing the government website trying to get a covid test for my son who has a fever and dry cough.
Finally got an appointment for this afternoon. Told where to park (mobile unit) and I thought he said put on your hazards if you need help. He told me not to seal it.
I swabbed my son's throat and he threw up in his mouth onto the test stick so I put on my hazards and asked for a new test (threw old one in the back). Got a new test (with new 'registration card'), did the test in teh nose only as instructed by the person and then drove forward and handed it into a box. As I started to drive away, the attendant came chasing after me shouting that I was meant to put on my hazards when i was done and the test was now not registered. He said I could try phoning 119 and getting the registration card registered with my name. I did this but the lines were jammed, and in the meantime I found a link to register the test to me by the barcacode.
So I thought it might all be ok, only I've just realised the test wasn't sealed. Does ANYONE with any inside knowledge know if they will still process it (assuming it even makes it to the lab inside the bag) if it's not sealed? It's obviously in the tube and in one ziplock bag but the outer bag is not sealed with the silver seal bit.
Please don't post to tell me I'm stupid because I already know that.
