How many people got pregnant, over the age of 40 while on the mini pill?

Hi. I am panicking and just looking to reach out to the wide world of the internet. I am turning 43 in less than a month, I've already got 3 beautiful boys. I have PCOS and therefore fallling pregnant was not always easy.

However, I am either pregnant or have developed a condition of some sorts as for the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing ALL the symptoms I had in early pregnancy. I have been on the mini-pill for 8 years solidly. Never had a problem. My fertility seemed to just go to sleep and I never had any twinges or weird sensations at any time of my cycle. I have been blissfully unaware of my cycle for that long!

I have taken a pregnancy test, after feeling nausea, burpy, lots of pulls and twinges in my uterus, even braxton hicks sensations a few days, that feeling of feeling heavy in the uterus and also just mildly sore.

Today is week 2 and the pulling has reduced but it's still there. AND I keep feeling flutters as well on and off.

I don;t understand whats going on....either I am pregnant and its too early for a pregnancy test to detect it, or I guess there are a long list of conditions it could be ! I am having no bleeding though....so stumped. Feel so pregnant but at the same time don't believe it could be the case at all.

If you're experiencing pregnancy symptoms I think a test would show as positive given they often do weeks before lots get any other symptoms beyond a missed period.

Go to the doctor if you're worried.

Hate to be the harbinger of doom but could it be the start of the menopause

Cabinfever10 - I did think the same! Gosh if I have to go on feeling pregnant for the foreseeable few years I am NOT going to be a happy bunny!
