AIBU to be slightly offended that someone would proposition me for a "friends with benefits" arrangement while sitting there with greasy hair, smelly feet and wearing a t-shirt with holes and sweat patches?

In essence saying, "I don't have feelings for you and I can't even be bothered with basic personal hygiene to make myself a bit more attractive, but I want to get my rocks off so that's all that matters."

Definitely not unreasonable to be offended. Sounds grim!

BrumBoo · 13/09/2020 16:43

How did this situation even come about? Who outside of family would even be 'sat in front of you' in such a gross state? Did you invite Homer Simpson over for a cuppa?

tectonicplates · 13/09/2020 16:44

Wow. Lazy. At least make themselves a bit more presentable first.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 13/09/2020 16:48

Eww! I love my DH dearly but if he sat in front of me like that and tried to initiate sex, I’d tell him to jog on.

Online dating? Yes, I hear you. This is why I like texting a bit first before going straight for a date. Need to see teeth and full body first. No smiling in any photos equals rotten teeth. Head shots only? There's a reason for that.

Nope, a long-standing friend (he has redeeming qualities...). He apparently thought I would jump at the chance. Hmm

Tbh I can't think of a family member who has that little pride in their appearance.

I've said no "for various reasons"... (I.e. your hair, your feet and your BO.)

I hope you disinfected your couch when he left 🤢

It was at his place. Which, to be fair, is pretty clean and tidy.

There just isn't a single part of his body I find less than repulsive.

Wow. Men never cease to amaze me.

He must have actually believed that you would jump at the chance to have sex with such a catch. Got to admire his confidence!

katie43210 · 14/09/2020 00:40

How did you resist?! Honestly, people never cease to amaze me.

SuzieQQQ · 14/09/2020 00:41

Wow! He clearly has a very high opinion of himself. Did you just laugh at him.

Imworthit · 14/09/2020 05:20

When I was single I was asked this constantly 😂 Im pretty, no baggage, good job. Got hit on constantly. I could get dick every night of the week if I wanted. So, why would I want someone with nothing worthwhile to offer? It is so fucking insulting and icky but guys just push their luck. Nothing personal 😂😂😂. so sorry for you.
