For me, it's being able to rest in a cosy bedroom whilst I get through a particularly painful/heavy period.

I can't contemplate how women living in poverty get through painful periods.

My garden. I've worked on it for 6 months and it's a heaven. Every day I appreciate how lucky I am. I also have a gate onto this amazing field that I'm so grateful for.

My amazingly supportive husband. He’s my rock and makes my life immeasurably better.

ALLIS0N · 12/09/2020 19:27

My garden. I wouldn’t have survived lockdown without it.

Being able to afford a bit of heating, not dreading the electricity bill and having a washing machine and a vehicle.
Actually, they are huge.

Art. It has kept me sane throughout this time.

Exactly this.

And my husband getting me a hot water bottle and watching our 4 year old why I lie down.

That I have a job that I truly love and would choose to keep doing even if I won the lottery.

netsybetsy · 12/09/2020 19:37

My Dh and DDog are my best friends.

MarshaBradyo · 12/09/2020 19:38

My garden too. The sight of it soothes my soul and has helped during lockdown.

My dc’s little faces. It’s been hard work at times in lockdown but then their general happiness helped.

Savings & the fact my kids are back in school. I don’t think we realised how much they were missing it. Also our lockdown pup. He’s made such a difference to our family unit.

midlifenewspring · 12/09/2020 19:44

The love I have for my kids.

Having a job, a roof over my head and food in the cupboards. Oh and my new super comfy mattress that I’m led in right now ...!

The countryside around me

I'm having to self isolate atm so I'm grateful to have my lovely dh cheering me up, doing the shopping, taking kid to school, buying me gifts.
I'm grateful for my garden too, I miss going for a walk (or anywhere) but can sit outside and enjoy some fresh air.
I'm grateful for my friends who have left flowers, wine and cake to cheer me up and are keeping me in touch with what's going on in life.
I'm thankful for my boss who is paying me for sitting at home and is trying her best to make work a safe place.
