To be surprised that people with awful or grating voices get jobs as radio presenters?

I am thinking Anita Anand and Sarah Smith in particular.

I once met a secretary who couldn't touch- type. No idea how she got the job.

I luffs Anita Anand! (is that right spelling??) She's my hero (or seriously clever, anyway). In that case, whose voice do you find marvelous, OP?

Every time Ritchie Anderson comes on Radio 2 to do his traffic reports I have to leave the room. I have nothing against his Black Country accent - it’s just Christ on a bike he’s annoying, unfunny and has such an inflated ego!

Neil Pringle on BBC Sussex was absolutely dreadful. I've never heard anyone stutter and stumble over words so much. Thankfully he doesn't do the Breakfast Show anymore!

I can't touch type but had secretarial jobs in my 20's. Depends on the job.
