As the package did not arrived to my niece, I have checked the tracking number, which states that the package was sent to Los Angeles, USA not as addressed (to Poland). My niece is broken hearted.

Have you brought this to the attention of Royal Mail?

Lockheart · 11/09/2020 18:55

Your niece is broken hearted because a package did not arrive?

It's disappointing to be sure but I feel you're exaggerating for effect...

These things happen unfortunately. It will turn up.

If you paid for insurance you can claim the money from Royal Mail. It’s a pretty simple process

The gift supposed to be for the first communion, which I could not attend due to Covid. I promised to send it to her. Yes she is very sad. I took it with Royal Mail, so I still hope it would arrive, but they could not guarantee.

@Monsterjam It is insured but for less what I paid for it, so I am at loss. I didn't remember exact price that I paid for it at the time of sending. I am annoyed with myself.

Is there any way of it being forwarded on from wherever it is?

FrenchBoule · 11/09/2020 19:11

First communion in Poland is usually in May.
Has the parcel been missing since then or did you send it later?

royalmailwrong · 11/09/2020 19:17

Later as I was hoping to arrive in Summer but couldn't, so she was waiting for the package, I think I shouldn't made her hopes up, before it arrived. Yes I still hope she gets it and this is only a few more weeks to wait.

Royal Mail is hopeless for international deliveries. I wish I hadn't found this out the hard way.

Now I use UPS for international, and it's cheaper!
