To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

Ah yes it is..sorry!!

ButteryPuffin · 12/09/2020 20:28

Is there a bar code on the label that would make it identifiable, definitively, as either a medium or large? (Not that I'm invested now...)

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:28

@Lockdownproblems
That’s okay, I really appreciate it anyway!

Have you contacted jellycat and explained situ...as am sure they could make some.. I know it's a retired design but there is obviously a very important reason why you need this one.
If nothing but to give them some amazing marketing...which I know they dont need...but people always remember the companies that went the extra mile.
They will have fabric etc...

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:29

@ButteryPuffin
Unfortunately not. The codes on labels only give the batch code, not even the shape or specific colour. But Jellycat can confirm it if you send them a picture and the code. It makes it difficult as there’s no set code to search for

@devontor
They can’t help unfortunately Sad

Is this it? Do you know anyone who lives in the US who could post it to you?

devontor · 12/09/2020 20:33

:( really.. that's very sad.. you would think most companies would really try and help? I find it odd.they cant :( not very good for a toy company to not help with what is obv a big issue for a customer

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:35

@Splendid68
Out of stock unfortunately Sad

I’ve just been reading on the website that they only started selling them in 1999, so it may have been a little bit later I got my first, I was at uni until ‘01. It must have been one of the very first and is tiny.

I’ve just checked on my own DC’s bunnies. DC1’s was discontinued this year, and DC2’s is still current. I conferred with DH about buying a replacement but the consensus is it wouldn’t be accepted so we’d just have to live a new one at the time. It makes me feel really sad to think of poor ‘bunny’ (name disguised to protect the guilty’ not being with us anymore. They have tasks on their labels with my name and phone number on so hopefully if the worst comes to the worst we’d be reunited.

I hope you find the bluebell you’re after 🤞

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:39

@Marmite27
Thank you! I really appreciate it.

I really hoped someone would have one just lying around but it seems they’re rarer than I first thought. I should’ve known really the amount of time it took for one to pop up on eBay.

House of Marbles had the big sizes but not sure of the colour, you could ask them to check

EncroachingLoaf · 12/09/2020 20:53

God I need closure on this thread Grin good luck op.

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:55

@LifesTooShortForYourNonsense
Thank you! I’ll drop them a message

I honestly don’t think we’ll find one. Sad
I really do appreciate everyone’s efforts though!

I can't help but I get you.
I have a black cat halloween jellycat which I bought in 2018 just after my lovely 'real' black cat passed away. He is such a comfort and I would die if anything happened to him. Sadly another of the same wouldn't do, because he has his very own personality! They do make such adorable little toys.

Disclaimer: Im weird;)

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 21:05

@Sallygoround631
They’re lovely and seem to bring a lot of comfort to most people who own one. They’re such good quality yet retiring them makes them so hard to find Sad

I’ve asked a couple more eBay sellers and quite a few have them but they’re in personal collections!

@rockingaroundthemulberrybush
Sorry, I missed your comment. Which colours do your daughters have with flowery ears? They don’t make the bluebell in a large but they certainly make tulip, cream, silver and beige!

They also made the rose blossom (hot pink) in a large.

Just thought I’d mention Incase you were interested

BarbiesBeaver · 12/09/2020 22:03

I'm pretty sure my local card shop has that Jellycat. I'll PM you so it doesn't disappear and you could ring them Monday?

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 22:16

@BarbiesBeaver
Thank you so much!
I’ve dropped them a message on their Facebook page for now and I’m hoping they see it! The photos of their store front from June have a bunny in the window but it’s a huge and it looks like a blue or silver? But they could have changed the display and had a bluebell in the back I guess!

I really appreciate it! This bunny seems rarer than I ever imagined

OP posts:
Legoandloldolls · 12/09/2020 22:23

I had a look in one of my local shops today, but they seem to have sorted out the display so they in neet like packs.

The other shop display is a bit more imaginative so I will try them. No signs of my bunny either but they are still in stock online. I think my one was very common

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 22:29

@Legoandloldolls
Thank you for thinking of me/us!
I’m starting to think I won’t ever find one Sad it seems to be such a rare one. I don’t know why they’re so fixated on this one but I had never seen one of the others they wanted to find a while back (black with floral ears) so I said I’d try and find the bluebell instead knowing it had been in big stores like John Lewis. The black one has been on eBay since (for £100 😭) but they wanted the bluebell when I suggested getting that one for their birthday/Christmas.
