To ask if any of you have this Jellycat?

A couple of days ago, I won a Jellycat on eBay that I’ve been searching for yet the sale was cancelled after payment due to another buyer offering more.

I am desperately seeking this Jellycat in large size (36cm head to toe) for a young relative. I don’t want to give away too many details as I feel this post is already identifying as I’ve been posting everywhere I can - I have name changed too.

They sell for a lot of money on eBay and I would be willing to pay via PayPal goods and services if anyone had one they would consider selling.

I would really appreciate it! This Jellycat is retired and can no longer be purchased.

Thank you for looking but they only sell recent stock. That’s a blue bunny and I’m looking for a bluebell which is a purply blue - I appreciate it though!
Ah ok, I wasn’t sure which shade it was from the picture

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 18:42

They can look totally different depending on lighting so I understand why it can be confusing. I’ll check out the Instagram, thank you!

Sorry, not read through all of the messages so this may have been suggested already, but could you contact the person who bought it on eBay and ask if they’ll sell it to you?

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 19:28

@Chumssss
I can’t tell who bought it as it hasn’t been relisted yet and I don’t feel like rewarding them for being so horrible and going behind my back anyway!
I think it’s nasty to message and offer more once someone has paid Sad you never know what something could mean to someone.

I imagine, in reality, if it is relisted I’ll be desperately scrambling around trying to afford the crazy prices they’re likely to ask. They paid £50 as far as I know for a bundle and I reckon they’ll want at least double that for the bunny alone.

I really appreciate the suggestion and I’ll stay hopeful but I’m a student and I have to draw the line somewhere for what I’d pay!

That’s a medium, thank you though. There are no large bluebell bunnies on eBay and there haven’t been for months apart from the one I won.

I find ebay notorious for this kind of thing. There doesn't seem to be adequate penalties for sellers who do this.

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 19:32

@ohcarolina2001
It has happened 3 times to me in 3 weeks (for different items) and it’s always disappointing but this was the worst one.

It seems to be happening more often lately!

Is it to replace a missing one that’s previously been very loved? I only ask as I bought spares of my daughters jelly cat teddies when they became attached to them.

They can 100% tell the difference and won’t give the replacements the time of day if ever offered!

I really hope you find a replacement though

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 19:52

@Dablikeacrap
It’s not a replacement, it’s complex but it’s very much wanted as part of a hobby/special interest. They’ve been desperate to find this one hence why the US exclusive plum in large will help a bit but isn’t the one they’ve set their sights on.

I hope it hasn’t come across like I’m trying to deceive or guilt trip anyone. I hope I’ve made it clear that I’m hoping for one that isn’t much loved and not to take someone else’s comforter.

It’s just typical that this one is retired and so hard to find! The others have been pretty easy, if expensive. I have Jellycats myself which is why I’m helping my relative and not their parent to avoid buying fakes, wrong size etc. Little relative is old enough to know it’s not the right colour and I’ve named changed as I’ve posted other places and they’re old enough for friends to have social media so don’t want them to be bullied if anyone recognises them. That’s why I’m being pretty vague too.

I think I have it!

RainbowBrite1 · 12/09/2020 20:02

Hi,

I think i have this colour one it's like a purple/ blue? I'm not sure the size tho I got it for my daughter a few years back and she's never bothered with it.

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:03

@Lockdownproblems
Oh, really? In the large size? (36cm) and would you be willing to sell? No pressure though!

@RainbowBrite1
Yes, that’s right! The medium is the most common size

Lockdownproblems · 12/09/2020 20:05

Pp1qq

RainbowBrite1 · 12/09/2020 20:09

I don't think it's the right size I'm pretty sure it's the medium one.
Really sorry

Lockdownproblems · 12/09/2020 20:09
@DontBelongHere This one shocked me the most! A wee boy has one as his comforter (proven with pics) and mum can’t find a replacement anywhere.. I wonder why

I know a lady found 2 bluebells in a shop last week but they were medium
My nephew has this style in purple/pink.

Penguin (because all his bunnies are named after other animal types) isn’t allowed out of the house. A friend’s little girl has a grey one with black and white stripy ears. That one’s also a fortune to replace.

Ours are the blossom in beige and grey so we’re safe for now. I love the bluebell colour and while I was reading this thread the other night I had my arm twisted to buy a blush one and a turquoise one. They’re just such a perfect shape for little hands.

I bought my first jellycat when I was at uni in ‘98. A little harlequin style giraffe. I daren’t google if he’s still available Confused

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:13

@Lockdownproblems
I can’t see the number on the tape measure but is it around 14 inches? The medium is 12 so it’s so hard to tell and my phone isn’t loading the photo correctly!

Are they well loved and very important or would you be willing to sell?

OP posts:
BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:16

@Marmite27
Ahh yes, flossie I think she is called! One sold today for £58
The stripy eared is called Blake. I spend a lot of time on eBay looking for jellycats for little relative so if there’s any you’re hunting for and have a price in mind I’m happy to keep an eye out.

I’ve somehow accumulated about 40 myself! Grin

Hes 34 cm ish.. embarrassingly he is mine not my daughters. I'd be happy to part with him to make someone happy!

rockingaroundthemulberrybush · 12/09/2020 20:23

Gosh, this is thrilling, fingers crossed OP!

My daughters have some small bashful with the flowery ears. I always wished they did the large bashful with flowery ears too.

Lockdownproblems · 12/09/2020 20:25

I'm pretty sure he is large. We have some of the small ones and hes much bigger. We live near a shop that sells jellycat (where ours come from!) And I'm sure hes 2 up from the small. I've only got sewing measuring tapes sorry so numbers arent showing as clear!

BluebellJellycat · 12/09/2020 20:26

@Lockdownproblems
I really appreciate it but I think yours might be a medium! Is that an A4 piece of paper?
