My son came out of school today with a runny nose. Gave him some piriton and he perked up abit, ate all his dinner, played etc. I've asked him if he feels unwell anywhere else and hes said no just my nose, no temperature either. Aibu to keep him off tmo? I genuinely think it's just either allergies or a common cold

I would not just for a runny nose. Fever, cough, loss of smell/taste are the only reasons I would keep mine off if they felt well in themselves.

I really dont want to keep him off for a common cold or hayfever. We're moving soon also so want to keep him ag this school for as long as possible

Unless you plan on self isolating for 14 days here's no point. You need to have one of the three main symptoms to qualify for a test so couldn't rule it out that way for just a runny nose.

@vodkaredbullgirl

Where is that from? It doesn't even list all of the 3 symptoms needed for a test so I would take it with a pinch of salt

@vodkaredbullgirl those covid symptoms are not the main 4.
