Were buying a place snd the master has an en suite, i just think that it shouldnt be used for poo's well at bedtime anyway, as otherwise massive mood killer... AIBU? Thoughts?

There is a family bathroom and downstairs WC btw. So plenty of options lol

I don't really care what you decide to do in your ensuite. I'm never going to visit.

Polnm · 10/09/2020 22:28

Does it not have a flushing lavatory and ventilation?

Are you planning on sex in the en-suite

I can’t see why the bedroom would be affected?

ThunderSkies · 10/09/2020 22:29

Yanbu

Serialcatmum · 10/09/2020 22:29

Our rule was always “no Number 2s in the en-suite loos” 🤭

justasking111 · 10/09/2020 22:29

I am with you if it is at bedtime and you are in the bedroom. Buy some Vipoo if he insists on doing is ablutions then.

Polnm · 10/09/2020 22:30

My en-suite has a sofa and bookcase.

Vector5 · 10/09/2020 22:30

Theres a no solids rule in my en suite

PolarBearStrength · 10/09/2020 22:30

Do you never go for a wee and then think ‘oh actually whilst I’m here’... or is that just me? 😂

Polnm · 10/09/2020 22:31

All these people who say no-why?
Are they not adequately plumbed and ventilated?

Oysterbabe · 10/09/2020 22:31

I think it's fair enough to not use it for poos if your partner is in bed or about to go to bed.

ComeOnEileen11 · 10/09/2020 22:31

If we had an ensuite, it'd be banned. Downstairs toilet only at that time.

TheSmallAssassin · 10/09/2020 22:31

Can't get worked up about it, myself. But think en suites are overrated too.

EmbarrassedUser · 10/09/2020 22:32

100% agree. En-suites are for wee’s only. Two main reasons. DH’s shit smells like he’s been hiding a dead rat up his arse. Plus hearing him poop doesn’t make me want to shag him 😂

Why? They have a door? They are a different room? They are ventilated?
PanamaPattie · 10/09/2020 22:33

You wouldn't shit in the corner of your living room - so why would you in your bedroom?

landann · 10/09/2020 22:34

@Polnm has a window and fan etc but just more... smell element. Its not very sexy lol

@PolarBearStrength lol yess

Why do you hear it? Doesn’t he close the door? Why would you hear someone through a wall and closed door?

An en-suite isn’t the corner of a bedroom? It is a room?

Do you mean you all just have a free standing loo in your bedroom?

PanamaPattie · 10/09/2020 22:37

Yep - next to the freestanding bath.

latheritup · 10/09/2020 22:37

The whole point of an en-suite is convenience. If you think I'm waddling downstairs to use a different toilet whilst holding in a poo you can piss right off Grin

Boulshired · 10/09/2020 22:38

The door isn’t soundproof or blocks the smell. We don’t use the en-suite at all after one of us is in bed. The flush is too loud and I don’t fancy rancid smells overnight. Ours is mainly used Showering, toilet is barely used.

EhUp · 10/09/2020 22:39

This thread makes me very relieved that we don't have an en-suite Grin

alibongo5 · 10/09/2020 22:40

I can't believe all these people who wouldn't poo in a toilet! It wouldn't occur to me that this might be a rule.

hulahooper2 · 10/09/2020 22:41

Are you being serious , It’s a normal bodily function , it will have a door , a window and an extractor

SimonJT · 10/09/2020 22:42

My flat has an en-suite off the main bedroom, it also has a ‘family’ bathroom off the open plan living area.

If I’m not allowed to poo in the en-suite because its attached to the bedroom and I can’t poo in the ‘family’ bathroom because its attached to the living room, where do you suggest I poo?
