Moonshot - Plans for mass testing

Moonshot for mass testing will cost £100bn. Another botched project by Boris. Why can't they do simple things right first.
Is there any way to stop this madness.

I don’t think they’ll actually get to that stage. The 100bn figure is a total to get it up and running for the whole population.

First hurdle to pass is to find a test that is quick, reliable and scalable. They’re not going to do that easily, and it won’t cost 100bn to try.

To use the moonshot analogy, it will cost a tiny fraction of that money to fire the rocket. The rest will only be spent if the moonshot actually looks like it’s going to successfully hit the moon.

Why Boris can’t just explain things I don’t know- unless he doesn’t understand them himself?!?

He spent most of last night’s brief stumbling and mumbling, which very much gave the impression that he didn’t understand it himself.

Yes, just like the other testing goals... oh, well...

I saw a brief item on the news last night about training dogs 🐕 to sniff out corona virus. Now, in my brain, the quick testing will be using sniffer dogs....Grin(sadly unlikely).

Why 'moonshot'? Is like shoot for the moon and if you miss you'll land among the stars? So, aim to test the whole population, fail miserably and expect congratulations for the 10% you actually managed to do.

Sniffer dogs in schools. The kids would either love it or hate it.

Hypothetical pie in the sky.

Won't happen.

Boris will be gone in a few months anyway. His legacy is pretty much ruined, at least he can be PM when we fully leave the EU (deal or otherwise) and then time for him to put his feet up.
