I keep seeing so many posts on here and other social media about covid being a 'plandemic' and it's all park of the goverments plan etc etc. Im genuinely curious as to what people think the plan is?
I'm open to ideas by the way, I'm not saying anybody is right or wrong and I trust the tories about as much as i trust my 2yo with a pack of felt tips.
But what other reason could there be for them wanting us to not socialise , to crash the economy etc. I just dont get it Blush

I haven't seen anyone saying that. I've heard such people exist but surely not on Mumsnet?

I mean really - all the governments of the world have got together to fake all of this?

blubberball · 09/09/2020 20:34

Might be nice if there was a plan. I think that it gives them way too much credit. The government seem to be bumbling around aimlessly and clueless as ever to me.

This one might not be a "plandemic", but anyone aspiring to be Oliver Cromwell is definitely noting how easy it is to scare and manipulate the public. I've no doubt that the whole thing was hugely exaggerated at first (the gov have as good as admitted they bumped up the death figures), and they're seeing this as a massive test of how easily they can control the public.

I wish they would tell us what the plan is. Are they trying to guarantee immortality? Life has a 100% mortality rate.

Re. the latest restriction, if they didn't pick it out of a hat, I suspect they decided to pick on household gatherings because there's no money in them for the treasury. They could just as easily have targeted the pisshouses pubs, as they hinted they might when the schools went back, but that's a big slice of the economy and jobs.

They couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery let alone manage to plan all of this. They have been reacting to events, not controlling them.
There is no plan.
