DM and DF ...

Posted yesterday about alcohol issues on their side.
Thinking back to something that happened last week and wondering if I'm BU thinking something was up.

Was due to see them in the afternoon after DCs school. At around 1pm my DM called to say to not come as DF won't be there because was called to help with an emergency at the neighbours (he's a self employed tradesperson) and she was called into work and decided to help out because they were short staffed - to the workplace she has given her 2 week notice to as she's starting a better job.
We weren't able to see them for a couple of weeks and they've been asking to see DCs yet cancelled so last minute and gave me a different day that week we could come.

I changed my shifts around to be able to visit (my job is very flexible as long as I get my hours in) and told her I might not be able to switch now at such short notice.

AIBU to feel a bit weird about how it all happened? DM has been reluctant to see me without DF for a while now but they've been contacting me asking to visit to then cancel a mere few hours beforehand.

It's a good thing I didn't tell DCs we were going and was going to leave it as a bit of a surprise after school.

Is this a serious question? How are people on the internet meant to know if "something was up".

Sorry, agree with previous poster - actually not sure what I could say! Talk to them?

What a pointless post

No idea. Really not sure what your post is about.

Sorry I realise re reading this it all probably sounds like a load of babble. I guess my other post gives a lot more background but i can't link it as I'm using the app.
